A little juice has leaked inside. Performance is still top notch... however, I am concerned about getting the juice out... if you recall, the inside has been sealed with some kind of plastic goopy stuff which makes it hard for juice to leak inside... inversely, it makes it difficult to get juice out. Any ideas?

@lasttango I have had 3 different Bartlebys...all of them did the same thing you're seeing...the very 1st one I bought came with the entire wiring/switch cavity completely filled with epoxy (even filled over the switch wiring)...the 2nd a little less filled and the 3rd had hardly any epoxy at all....all 3 reacted differently to the juice seeping in...(I drip btw)

Bartleby #1: I wore out the USB port and could no longer charge it (the switch on this one ended up getting soaked with juice too eventually and began shorting out on me)

Bartleby #2: the switch shorted out...I noticed after purchasing the 3rd one, that if I let it dry out, it would work fine for a few days..then short out again...lots of juice in and behind that epoxy filler

Bartleby #3: barely had any of the wiring covered at all...the 510 connector was mostly uncovered as well (it is the epoxy that is holding the atty connector in place).....this one lasted only a few weeks before the leaking juice loosened up the epoxy hold on the connector and then it would no longer hold the atty connector at all....and even my usb plug would come out wet too..
I loved these little things....but the quality continued slipping w/each order...a friend of mine ordered one after I had my 3rd one...his had even less epoxy filler that mine! That's when I decided to do something else...

....so I went to Radio Shack and purchased some switches, battery housing, wiring, soldering iron and busted out the working pieces from my 3 now dead Bartlebys...rewired/soldered and stuffed into a metal flashlight I had laying around....to hold me over until my Ali'i comes in.

I just got a new Bartleby a couple of weeks ago and the epoxy goes all the way to the top of the atty connector... it seems rather impossible for juice to leak into this one. I got juice in my old one (with the recessed connector) all the time, but it still works fine... vaping on it right now, as a matter of fact. Sorry to hear about your Bartleby issues, REDNEVEDNAV. Have you tried contacting cybervex about these issues?

I got my 4-6 months use outta my first 2 Bartlebys without any issues at all (sorry if I didn't explain myself too well), even with a bit of leakage...just eventually, I suspect, that leaking played a part in finally killing the button/switch-of course, my constant use probably had something to do with that as well ;) ...I was satisfied with each one (a bit disappointed with the last one I bought though...)...I also consider 4-6 months to be about right for the 'life' of a plastic box mod...that epoxy stuff Jay puts in those things makes it impossible to replace anything in it anyway. When each one died, I didn't feel slighted at all. I don't think there is a better mod w/the features (the 14500 batt, usb passthru/charge, size) anywhere for $50. Like I said before, by then I had moved on to a self-made flashlight mod w/18650, etc....and now have an Ali'i on the way...so really it's just the evolution of progress in personal vaping experiences that we all end up following at some point I guess.
