So after using my Prodigy V3 @ 6v for like 2 months..today something weird has been happening. When I press the button to vape I can almost instantly feel my casing get really hot and when I take my batteries out to check they are really hot. I've been using the same atty for almost 6 weeks now I think without any problems at all so does this mean the atty finally gave in and is now causing some kind of short? Also the last time it happened (like 10 mins ago) I felt the top of my Prodigy vibrate.

After this happens I can later vape it fine for a while but then it happens again. Just put on a new atty so I will see if it happens again but just wondering about this.

It's most likely one of two things: your spring has become either loose or warped and is touching the side of the tube, or your atty is shorting out. I suspect it's your atty doing it. So since you've replaced it, you should be fine. But just to be safe, double-check your spring to make sure it's still seated and snapped into place and isn't bent abnormally.
