I've been using a 3.7 box mod with protected 14500 batteries and am having little luck with cartomizers and atomizers. Dual coils are the only cartomizers that work and only for a while--otherwise the protection kicks in every time--even with HR atomizers. I would really like to use some attys and other cartos with this box mod and could use some advice on what batts to use. Are high drain batteries the best and are they safe? Any advice is appreciated,

Thanks in advance

Sounds like there is something wrong with the mod it self. A standard 14500 can run just about anything made. When Nhaler introduced the first LR atties many put them on their their 14500s an still do. You won't get long vapetimes out of a single 14500 due to the low mAh but "the protection kicks in every time" hasn't happened to me.

This statement is also odd.

Dual coils are the only cartomizers that work

Assuming standard 1.6Ω DCs, those should in fact be the most problematic.
