Also, I can appreciate all the fast tech love but I feel more comfortable buying batteries stateside with all the counterfeiting going on. Also, RTD is right here in PA, so shipping time should be ridiculously fast.

I've heard alot of good deals coming from fasttech but maybe it's just my paranoia that keeps me away from them. That's just me. I try to be cautious.

FastTech is fine as long as you can identify the chemistry of the battery. But be aware that they sell unprotected Li Ion batteries alongside protected Li Ion and IMR Li Mn batteries. Pay attention to the chemistry, and never buy a Li Ion battery that does not specifically say it is protected. If uncertain, don't buy it.

Live and learn. Vamo just came in the mail about a half hour ago; should've made this thread LONG before purchasing the kit: the battery charger is flimsy as all hell and they are ICR batts, not the suggested IMR. I already have better batteries and charger on order from RTD Vapor, just wish I knew more before ordering. I'm not even sure the 18350s that came in the kit will charge: they fit very loosely in the junk charger...
ANY OTHER NOOBS CONSIDERING BUYING A MOD KIT: either buy from a vendor who allows you to select the components or just buy the mod and accessories separately.

C'mon RTD order.........

Agreed, the kit I got for my first Vamo V2 sucked. The charger was a POS, and so was the 18650 battery, both are long gone now. Mine didn't come from Fasttech though, well, not directly, maybe the vendor I purchased form got it from them.

The protected Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mAh batteries apparently will cut-off around 3 Amp. Given that, and that the battery protection circuit will probably interfere with the circuit in the VAMO even below that current, that battery is no good for the VAMO. The unprotected version is rated at 2C, so it will handle 6.8 Amps continuous which is more than enough for the VAMO and other regulated devices rated at or below 15 Watts.

As far as I know, the NCR18650B is a ICR li-ion battery which if unprotected is dangerous because if it is drained too quickly or shorts it will burn, with gusto. I would not use that in my PV.

After my initial order where the computer system screwed up my info and it took me a week to notice it and straighten out[My Fault] they were quick once I brought to their attention.

I've been buying all my Batteries and some odds and ends from Fasttech and they've been excellent.
My K100 from Fasttech was authentic Kamry and excellent also.
My phone charger which takes two 18650 batteries was decent quality.

The Sony 30 Amp Batteries and the Hybrid Panasonics are tremendous deals each for different purposes.

The 30 Amp Sony kicks out higher voltage under load but doesn't last long. The Panasonic Hybrids perform just a tad less then the Sony but last longer. I've gotten 6 hours on my Bogger Box Bottom Feeder Standard Unit with the Panasonic 2900mah High Drain Battery.

Pretty awesome.!!
