I just got an order in from DX with SOME of the batteries I ordered last year (er month, lol-still witing on the charger). I've read that the batts are generally shipped half charged, but one of them (a 14500 protected) shows no charge at all. Was wondering if maybe it just dropped below the PCB cutoff, or if in fact people have had any problems getting dead batts. Since I don't have the charger yet (hopefully next year /sarcasm off) I can't try charging it to see. May just have to wait, but I hate the thought of trying to send batteries back and wait for replacements-who knows how long that might be

The battery is dead so don't even bother trying to charge it, it's not worth the risk. Get it warranty replaced.

As for DX, I have dealt with them before on warranty replacing a dead battery. Other than the wait time, their warranty replacement policy is pretty generous. You won't have to send back the defective one and they will send you another pack of 14500. In the end you will wind up with one extra batt for the inconvienence.

Overall, I've purchased 4 different sets of 14500 batteries from DX and only had one bad batt. I can't really complain considering the price and I'm very happy with their customer service.

So did you just file a claim through their customer service?? Seems like the easiest way to me (hopefully won't need to learn Chinese to do it :D)

I could see how you might want to buy from DX with the low prices, but is it really worth it? Cmon, wait for a month to save $5 or $10. Just seems ridicules to me. There are enough good deals to be had stateside if you look. If you want 14500's, you can get four (two- 2 packs) protected 14500's and a trustfire-all-in-one charger for just under $22, and about $28 after priority shipping. I had mine in 3 days. Not really much more then DX, is it?
Try the CustomSaberShop. They're prices are very good and they are reputable.

Yes, you have to contact their customer service. I posted below their FAQ on the "replacement of defective items" topic. The FAQ contains a link to the proper contact page. You will have to furnish a picture of the original package to show that it was indeed purchased from them. With my return I included a digital photo showing the yellow mailer along with the cellophane wrapper from the batteries.

Thanks for the link. Looks like a interesting site for supplies.

As for DX, I've experienced a 10 to 15 day wait for merchandise, never a month and for a $10 savings at DX on the merchandise you quoted, I can wait. Plus I like the fact DX offers free shipping so if I just need one set of batteries, the purchase is affordable since S&H isn't factored in.

Battery junction isn't too overpriced, i had to send a stupid protected battery back with the above mentioned issue, got a new one pretty quick, it's stateside so less issues with returns

Ez Duzit from your experience who should i use????Iam in need of some rechargeable....

Thanks in advance

CustomSaberShop has good prices, and fast shipping, and is a great place to buy protected 14500's and a charger. Unfortunately, that's the only size they carry

For other sizes, BatteryJunction.com is a good bet so you don't wait.

You can also google the size you want and see what pops up.:)

www.hightechdealz.com has good prices on batts:) He's sold out of most right now:( use code hellenecf10 for 10% off and he has free ship:)
RIMP:evil:
Yeah he has great prices, and free shipping, but he just ran out again. That's why I didn't mention him. It'll probably be 3-4 weeks before he has them in stock again. Pity.

Valkerie, be very careful with those batteries. In the last few days, I exchanged a few emails with Kendall about those specific batteries. Read this post to see what I found out, (I don't feel like retyping it all again). http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nice-price-14500-protected-us.html#post834837

I have 2 "protected" 14500's from Battery Junction which fit in a box mod I bought from a regular modder at ecf. I also bought 2 Protected 14500 from Dealextreme which eventually came; and after charging them, I discovered that they are 1 or 2 millimeters too long to fit in the box mod. I absolutely can not get them forced into the box. The blue covering on the batteries is identical and says Exactly the same thing, saying that they are protected against over charging and under discharging, word for word.

Now, I am beginning to have second thoughts about the batteries that fit after reading commentary on 14500 "protected" batteries here at ecf.

I don't want to use unsafe batteries, but I love using my box mod. Suggestions? Thanks to all who respond.
