Hi guys,

I have a weird (albeit quite desirable) issue. I have the eGo, have had it for about 20 days, and haven't charged the battery yet.

I'm vaping more now than when i first got it. Probably for the first week or so, I was hitting it maybe 15-20 times per day.

Now, for the past couple days, I've been hitting it somewhere around 20-30 times (these are rough guesses).

Anyways, I can't figure out when I'm supposed to charge my battery! Am I supposed to wait for it to go completely dead? Or am I supposed to notice it getting weaker? (because I haven't noticed a difference)

I went ahead and put it on charge (since the hurricane's headed this way --NC). And I just started using the other battery that came with my starter kit.

But what gives? How can a battery go over 2 weeks, and not be dead? Am I just vaping way less than normal people who have the ego? Or should I charge it once every couple days whether it needs it or not?

Thanks!

That's what I was worried about. I heard the Li-ion batteries had no memory, but I didn't want to make a habit out of charging them before needed. (sort of the "doesn't hurt, but can't be GOOD for them" approach)

What do y'all do about charging? Do you notice them getting weaker? or do you wait till they go completely dead and the button won't light up? Or do you just charge them every so often, whether they need it or not?

Yes, I said "y'all." I'm from the south, what can I say :)

77777, nothing wrong there. If the batt ran out, the button will flash you. If it hasn't run out, just keep going. There is no problem charging batt early. In fact, charging the batt when half full prolongs the batt, though I don't think those are LiIon batts.

Edit: I can't remember if eGos are "regulated" to maintain 3.3v, probably is. It will ask you to charge when it can't generate 3.3v anymore, so vape shouldn't weaken.

15-20 times a day? I hit mine 15-20 or more times an hour! Sounds like you've got a good battery that you're not putting much of a load on.

I notice my eGo batteries getting weird a few hits before they go blinky and need charging. I'm moving up to the bigger batteries, but none of my stock batteries have died yet (about four months into this).

LOL exactly. I have to charge an eGo battery at least once a day before i go to bed but i have 5 1000mah batteries. Once i get my Provari i wont be using the eGo much if at all aside from a backup.

I would love to have this problem. My Blucig batteries die pretty quickly.

The blue cig as far as I know is most likely only about 180 mAh (sure someone will kindly correct me if I'm wrong :D) The eGo or a Riva battery is a minimum 650 or so & up to 1100 mAh. The higher the mAh the longer between battery needing to be recharged.

By "hitting it" do you mean taking one 'puff'? If so, I'd say you are using it a lot less than most people. I've never kept count; but would not be surprised if I hit my PV at least 20-30 times/hour :D.

LOL, yes I mean one puff. Sorry, it's the "lingo" sticking around from my college days (the most fun I'll never remember I had) :p

The battery is lasting such a long time because you are hardly using it. 20-30 hits per day? Compared to most of us, that's almost nothing.

Hahaha, good to know. I'm kinda concerned about nicotine overdose (and the jittery headache crap that comes along with it.)

I smoked a pack a day before I started vaping, so I ordered all 24mg juices. THEN, I came to ECF, and did so much reading I kinda scared myself into thinking that I can't chainvape that or I'll get the OD symptoms.

The bolded part of your quote was my "diamond in the rough". As much reading as I've done, I still had no clue when to charge. Very good to know they'll blink when they're dying (I had no clue)

Nah, don't wait for it to go completely dead. At the rate you are vaping, charge it every other day or so.

Won't hurt a thing. I charge mine daily and the first set lasted for 8 months.

You are fortunate to be such a light vaper.

Thanks :) I just ordered some 18mg RY4, so I won't be as paranoid about chain-vaping that. (heck, maybe I'll get some 6mg and just go to town! and keep some 24mg for when I get the nic cravings)

Thanks! I bolded the answer to the question I was essentially asking with my OP.

Wow, having to charge a 1000 every day? What nic strength do you vape? Im just curious, because I feel like if I vaped enough to kill my 650mah, I'd be so dizzy from the 24mg juice I'd pass out.
