I always have the "weak batteries" issue when I am vaping. I use a dna 75 mod and usually vape at 70w by using single 26650 batteries because that it the sweet point of my coil. but after vaping 2 hours vaping, the mod will shows "weak batteries" on the screen which really annoying me. Do I need to change higher "A", "V", or "mah" batteries to solve the problem?

ps: batteries i used "Efest 4200mah, 50A, 3.7V" 26650 batteries.

thank you guys very much

What will help is wait for them to fix this problem and update the firmware

Or get another mod until they fix that known problem.

Good news and bad news.

Those are quite good 26650s. They are not 50A though.

It is possible that after 2 hours of Vaping, that's as far as they will continue. Doesn't surprise me, as eventually the battery will say no to 75w, even if it's not empty.

There aren't any higher mAh. There aren't any others above 3.7v. (a.f.a.i.k.)

Buy another one? Use a mod with 2 x 18650s and higher Amps?

Thank you, this is really helpful. But the efest batteries I used is 50A though. I am just wondering if 70W is too high for my mod so my batteries gone so fast or if I change higher "A" batteries which will help my mod last longer.

the mod I used is sbody dna75 C1D2 mod, which is highly recommended by "mike vape" and lot other famous youtube vaping reviewers so I don't think is the mod issue. Maybe I can try update the firmware.

Maybe they lied? They usually invent their specifications. That's what I'm saying.

A 25 amp battery can manage 75w freshly charged, but for how long? ... I don't know, as I don't have any experience, but if it works after you've charged it and then stops 2 hours later, that's either normal or a lower spec battery than they say.

Stop taking what reviewers say as gospel.

Some of them will never upload a negative review.

Some of them YouTube IS their job and don't want to tick off the suppliers that sends them free stuff.

If you want to know about a mod or Atty come here and ask. ECF members have vaped on just about everything and as the Southern say "Don't have a dog in the fight" and can give you an honest opinion about the gear.

In another thread about the Wismec DNA75 I told them to hold off on DNA75 mods till the battery issue was solved.

There are no 50 amp li-ions, Efest (and most other battery rewrapers) blatantly lie. 70w is simply too high a wattage for most cells. I wouldn't go above 60w for safety, 30-40w for battery life.

Here's a table of batteries tested and recommended by Mooch, the resident guru
Battery Chart.jpeg
The Efest batteries do make the recommended list, but on testing supply about 23A. The Ijoys do test out at 30A, but are difficult to find. The DNA 75 board is about 85% efficient. Combine running it at 70W with a 23A battery, you will get a weak battery after a few hours. If you want to run at 70W all day (and if you're running in wattage mode, not TC, why are you even using a DNA board?) you should get a dual battery mod that will provide more run time. If you like the DNA boards go for a DNA 200 or 250. Available in 2 and 3 battery configurations. If you do not use TC, any decent 2 or 3 battery mod out there will be fine for you.

It is 50A "pulse" not 50A CDR. Try iJoy 26650, true 30A 26650 should do the trick. The update for DNA 75 is out now I thought, have you tried updating it?

And that "pulse rating" means squat. Should be disregarded altogether.

Yeah you want to run batteries below CDR because CDR drops with mAh as your battery ages. Running an older battery at MVA or CDR can be just as dangerous although you should notice the battery getting hot much sooner. It's estimated a battery under normal use drops 40% mAh and 30% CDR after 250 cycles. MVA is usually 2-5A above CDR so I use 70% of CDR not MVA on older batteries to be safe, gives me 5A head room on 25R's. Ultra safe because as stated you'll feel it get really hot long before it vents at that level. I forget the exact numbers Mooch gave me but it was something like venting at 135°c and at 67° you won't be able to hold it in a fist and at 83° you won't even be able to pick it up.

basically a lot of them lie... especially efest you can almost never trust their CDR... if you want the true tested value, go by mooch's testing, he does this as personal thing... not to sell batteries. i really wish there were some 50a 5000 mah 26's and 18's a lot of us would be happy campers right now.
