Ok, both my automatic DSE801 batts have suddenly became stuck in the "on" mode (the LED is red and will not shut off even when I've taken the atomiser off). Seems to have happened about a week after I started using a new atomiser. Has already burnt out one of my attys! Have had these about a month. Is this a common problem? Can anything be done or is it time to buy some new ones?

I had similar issues with one of my 901 batteries.

It is now dead. Upon removal of the casing, I noticed a burnt chip on the PCB(?) and it smelled of stale burnt electronics.

I have had them behave funny after a charge. I unplugged the charger, and then plugged it back in. Then I screwed the batt in, and it started charging, and when full it was AOK.

It seems that these chargers behave like a LOW end computer power supply with power hiccups. Bad power seems to pass to the battery, or the board funny? Power cycle of the charger, and then a clean charge makes everything AOK.

YMMV, since I have never had an 801.
