Hi! First, let me say that I'm not very knowledgeable on stuff like this, so please be kind. Can I charge a 3000 mAh 20A and a 3500 mAh 10A battery at the same time on a 2-deck charger since they're both 3.7V? Also, on another battery, the wrapping has peeled off just a little bit on one end. Is it still ok to use? Thank you in advance!

Yes, you can charge two batteries in a charger at the same time. I charge different kinds of batteries in my charger all the time.

I would not use a battery whose wrapping is damaged (peeling). You are asking for possible serious trouble if you do. The damaged battery wrap should be replaced.

How long can you typically use a battery until its time for a new one?
The average 18650 battery will have a life of 300 - 500 cycles (charge/discharge). I have some batteries from 2016 that I'm still using. My rule of thumb is once a charge is not lasting long then it's time to recycle that battery. Some folks prefer to replace batteries yearly. Go with whatever you are most comfortable with.

Ok thank you for your help. I get a little paranoid about the possibility of blowing up my hand or face haha!

You're welcome. It's good to be cautious!!!

FWIW, I have 8-10 mods in daily use. Those use 18650, 20700 and 21700 batteries. I currently rotate between 20 batteries. And I also have several spare batteries.

I have some ICR batteries that I bought in 2010 you can have (if you want to live on the wild side) jk

Actually, don't be afraid of batteries (just understand them)
Make sure that you are using IMR or INR chemistry, never ICR, (they can go BOOM)
However ICR was all that we had back in the day, and we had to be extra careful.
A good external charger is a must IMO. I use a Nitecore 4 bay charger, and can charge 14500, 18500, and 18650's all at the same time.

If I've got a brand new battery (only used once) that I've managed to get what I'm assuming is juice in between the wrap and battery, I can't use it anymore unless I put a new wrap on it, correct?

I would replace the wrap. Clean the battery. Make sure there is no juice in the openings on the positive end of the battery. If there is, just slide a small piece of Bounty, kleenex or even toilet paper in the openings to absorb any juice.

    Good luck!!!
