Just one simple question. Building my mod and thinking of cut off an USB cable. Connect the (+) and (-) cable directly to the battery. Will it charge ? My Battery is protected 14500 LI-ion? After fully charged the charging will cut off itself? Please advise. Thanks

Eugene, unless you are an electrical engineer or electrical genius, I wouldn't.
Lithium batteries are known to explode, sometimes with flame, if charged incorrectly or with the wrong type of charger.
For these types of batteries it is better to stick with a commercially produced "Smart" charger made specifically for 3.7 volt lithium batteries.

you can charge it faster using a li-ion Hobby charger like to use an rc cars/planes.
But NO! you cannot directly charge it.
