Good question and I don't know. I do think if you notice the protection circuits are shot (like if the battery stops flashing when low) then the battery becomes more dangerous because it could become overdischarged or overcharged. But so far I have only charged slim batteries enough times to wear them out and they just died slowly, becoming weaker and holding less charge.

It may also depend on whether you strain your batteries by sticking very low ohms on them (which I do not do).

ive been using 2 650mah Ego batteries for a long time with standard 510 atty's or fluxomizers and no problems at all, i tend to not charge my batteries overnight etc... they can last a pretty long time!!!

when buying cartomizers or atomizers for the ego try to refrain from 1.5ohm atty/carto and below, they can (not always) shorten and cause the batteries to sometimes fail!
but 1000mah ego batteries are great!

ohm is how much resistance an atomizer or cartomizers is... ego work really well from 1.7-2.5! or atleast thats what ive been using and its really good.

Wherever you buy your stuff from you can ask if not told what the ohm is...
Its all part of the ohms law calculator, more voltage, less resistance = more power...
most people like to reach about 8-10 for warm nice vapor,
mine only goes to about 6.5 but it gets the job done:
heres a link to ohmes calculator!
Ohm's Law Calculator

you just have to put in your voltage on battery(ego are 3.4v)
and the resistance or ohm's of the atomizers/cartomizer and it gives the power (watts) produced.
You never want your power less then your amps (amps is how much battery it uses)

if you have more questions you can pm me!
