Battery or taste buds?

I feel like my taste buds have been shot. I recently upgraded to a vamo v5 and burnt the hell out of my throat due to not knowing what I was doing and moved back to my vision spinner 1300 mah. Is it just me or are my taste buds shot to all hell? I can't taste the flavors as much as I used to and even on 24 nic I don't feel anything. I tested it out with my other Efire and I get the same sensation. Nothing. I also tested it out with a Malboro Red (I know) But anyway it just doesn't hit the same. So to make a long story short is it just me or may my two batteries just be crapping out on me? I just got the vision spinner yesterday and have had the Efire forever. So new vs. old i'm pretty confused lol. Can't wait till paycheck for Provari

I don't feel anything either, other than the lack of wanting to climb the walls because I'm not smoking.

In any case, getting a Provari isn't going to fix what you're experiencing.

Hm. That's probably it. They've gone away and came back before so I just wanted to assure myself I wasn't crazy. But in any case I thought getting a stronger vape\and or mod would enhance my vaping experience. I.E getting bigger hits and clouds.

If you already have a Vamo and a Spinner, chances are it's either your toppers or your juice. Tastes change, and if you weren't using your Vamo properly then you aren't going to use a Provari properly either. What kind of topper are you using? Are you using many flavors or just 1?

Could be you need to mix up your flavor rotation or may need to ride out the vape tongue.

That was before I knew how to use it. Now I know how to properly adjust the wattage and voltage and the differences between the RMS and MEAN setting. So I know how to use it now. Just about the whole day I didn't know what I was doing. And I exchanged the vamo so I figure it was the deescalating of going from something powerful to something not as subpar that may or killed my taste buds. In any case i'm a quick learner and figured it out for myself. And i've tasted it on different juices and tanks. Even an Efire mod so I mean they can't all be not working. I'm not sure what a topper is because i'm fairly new to this all but I know all 5 of my tanks and 2 mods that I have are not all messed up lol. Sorry for the long reply. Just wanted to assure you i'm not an idiot lol.

Topper is a catch-all for tanks and other things that aren't quite tanks but are used to hold your coil and juice. Anyway, if you exchanged the Vamo then that's different, I thought you just put it down and started using your Spinner. I've been having the same problem with vaping MBV coffee e juice. Lately, it's had a burnt taste.

I'm not sure whether coil gunking is burning the juice or I've simply lost my taste for coffee (not the drink).

It does sound suspiciously like vapers tongue, sadly.

I tend to smoke menthol when this happens, or the "crap" liquids we all have stashed somewhere but can't bring ourselves to throw away!

I had the same problem with the vamo - was set to mean and ended up vaping on 15 watts, burned the hell out my throat and lungs - I feel your pain there.

Hopefully it will subside in a few days, keep up the fluids as recommended and fingers crossed!

Yep, you got the vapers tongue. It really sucks. I have had it 3 times now and once I got while having a cold so it lasted about 8 days. Nothing tastes right or has much of any flavor. Even a favorite just seems off. I sympathize with you. A spearmint vape helped me at least get along. MTbaker has a strong one the I keep 50 ml bottles of.

Yeah I mean it's all around dude. Nothing is as tasteful as it used to be since I burnt myself finicking with the vamo. But i'll probably try that out and if not just ride it out. They've gone away and came back before lol.

I drink lots of coffee. I mean LOTS of coffee! I've had vaper's tongue for about two weeks now. The only time I can taste any of my liquids is the very first hit first thing in the morning, or the first hit after changing flavors. Even then it's only a slight taste of the liquid and then it's gone. I have been drinking large amounts of water and it's helping, but not a lot. I also tried jalapeños, lemon juice, everything I've read that's supposed to help, but it hasn't really helped the situation. I've cut down somewhat on my coffee intake, but I'm still drinking it everyday and I'm sure it doesn't help. I'm just trying to wait it out right now. I've even run out of all the crappy juices I had saved up and have been having to waste my good juices on my flavorless palate. It really sucks, and I can't wait for it to be over. I feel your pain. Hang in there.
