I got a new ohm and voltage reader by smok and I went to check my voltage on my battery it started to over heat the battery is there a solution to fixing it or do I need to get it replaced???

The battery heating up so quickly sounds like a dead short. If the mod works with an Atomizer attached and does not heat the battery I would say you have a faulty meter.
