battery problems

Hey vapers! so I've had my panzer 18650 mod for about six months, using it paired with a Tobh atty rda. I recently bought a KangerTech AeroTank to use on long drives so i dont have to try to drip and drive. since ive started using this tank, i have wasted two batteries. they wont take a charg, fire, or register a voltage when checked with a multimeter. have any of you had this problem? Do you know what might be causing it?

Think you overdrawn them. Allowed the voltage to get to low.
With a dripper you might be enclined to charge sooner , lacking performance you expect. With the tank you might not have noticed it too much and continued below the batteries recoverable point.

What batteries are you using? Brand, color and mAh.

What kind of batteries are you using and where did you get them? Did you check to see if your tank is shorted?

At what point did you typically charge your batteries. Do you remember the remaining voltage in the said batteries?

As other inquired, what kind of batteries and what type of mod were you using them in? Sounds like they are drawn below 3.2v and can't recover.

What charger? And were you checking your batteries to see how low you were running down the voltage when using them? Is there any chance you allowed the Panzer to fire, unlocked, and it completely drained the batteries with the tank? Did the liquid in the tank look like it got cooked?

If you chronically ran IMR batteries under 2.5 volts it contributes to premature death. If you are using a "all things wonderful" multi-purpose charger that says it can do Li-On and NiMh and NiCd batteries those types of chargers cannot recover under voltage Li-On batteries. It's a "feature."

They are Sony batteries (green) 3.7v / 2600mAh

The mod is a panzer, I'm positive it didn't misfire.

It sounds like i ran them down below their recoverable level. i did not know i could do that.

If you ran them below 2.5 volts and they stayed there most chargers won't charge them for safety reason. At very low voltage they could become unstable and trying to recharge them is not advised.

If there's no PCB protection it will overdraw. I remember the days of babysitting unprotected 18650 cells with a volt meter to prevent overcharging.
