Hello all,
My husband is making attempts on the training wheel set that I used, Nano clearo, blu battery and pcc for back up asked him if they are "Intrinsically safe" Nowby the definition, I think he wanted to use a big word and picked the wrong one, however when I goggled the term, I found a bunch of junk in the OHSA manuals. He works around Hydro Carbons, and I guess this is the issue...
So my question for the vets,
Is a stick battery "Intrinsically safe"?? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but considering the whole damn place could blow up, I think it's valid for his situation...
Before I forget, all his batteries are auto. he doesn't carry the pcc with him, and he doesn't charge it while at work....
whew. Thanks in advance!!!!

I know what your talking about. There are some other threads on here that state that Tube type mod with Li Ion batteries can not be Intrinsically safe. I can imagine that they could make one since they use Radios that are certified Intrinsically safe but I have not heard of a mod that is. For sure not the models your talking about.

No e-cig with a battery in it is intrinsically safe. If I worked in an environment where there could not be fire, I would not only not vape there, I would not take my e-cig into that space. I would also not take a battery into that space. AFAIK, all batteries can get really hot when shorted or punctured and I would find that too much risk.

No. This is why, as a community, vapers know not to use their ecigs/PVs when pumping gas. Ecigs, no matter what size, are not safe to use when in an environment that has volatile compounds present. As Ryedan mentioned, I would advise your husband to leave the ecig elsewhere when working.
