Battery question

Hi all:
I am new to the forum
I was wondering, I am currently using a Johnson Creek Vea ecig Johnson Creek Vea eCigarette Starter Kit Johnson Creek Smoke Juice The battery is 650 mah.
I love it, but am sick of the cartomizers running out so quickly.
I am now planning to buy a Joye Ego C Twist with a vivi nova tank. Would the 650 mah twist have a comparable duration to the battery I am currently using, since they are both 650 mah?

A battery's expected time of use between charges is rated in "mAh". 100 mAh = 1 hour. A 650 mAh battery can be expected to work for 6.5 hours, a 1000 mAh battery expected to last 10 hours between charges.

Yes, assuming the same ohm stuff is used on it....comparable.

However, the VV function will change the actual results because it's a booster and also because you'll adjust it to different voltage than the 3.2 volts you're using now.

Also, the one has a PT function, doesn't it? (the site didn't work very well for me so I couldn't get past it's poorly done age check, no matter what I answered. So I'm not sure of the specs.)

The Twist doesn't have a PT functionality. Just FYI. I think there are competing products, one of which is vv and also PT. Can't find it right now though.

So A) depends on what you screw onto it.
B) The voltage you use
C) Vaping style/frequency

The 100 mAh per use hour is a VERY rough estimate, and is a bit dated (Bad will be the 1st to admit that one, so I'm not negating what he said, but that quote is not the whole picture, it's just a rough estimate.)

While the batts are the same capacity, the coils will cause more or less life depending on their ratings. the VN comes with 3 different coils. Each one will change battery life. The lower the ohm rating of the coil the shorter the battery life between charges. But going to low will put too much demand on the battery and shorten its overall service life as well as possibly be dangerous. Search EFC for power chart. This is a good starting point for different voltages/ohms/wattage. Or learn to use ohms law and do the math in your head.

Thanks so much for your reply. I have seen the chart you mentioned. I guess I was confused as to wether the variable voltage would make the battery last for a shorter period time. I have seen alot of poeople say that the 650mah twist lasts only 2-3 hours, so I was confused, since my 650 mah non vv battery lasts a full day of what I consider relatively consitent gaping. I guess the difference must be due to drastically different vaping habits/quantity, lol.

Yes, the vea has a passthrough, but I have never used it
I am going to purchase 2 650 mah twists, and hopefully that will last me the whole day.

I don't know how much you hit it, but I found that the twist 650mah battery doesn't last as long as the same size batteries I have in my small non VV vaporizers. After 5 hours or so I'll need to charge it, whereas the non VVs can go 7 or 8. YMMV..

Lol about doing the math myself. Math is definitely not one of my strengths
So, would you recommend sticking to the higher ohm vision vivi nova? I know that it is subjective, but any opinions are welcomed.

The 1000mAH eGo-C batteries are kind long but it doesn't bother me. It lasts me about 2 days of vaping but YMMV.

The GENERAL rule for VV devices is: "Get the middle of the road ohms". AKA "standard" ohm stuff.

This gives you the most options when dialing up/down the voltage on either side of the equations.

It isn't recommended due to efficiency, but flexibility.

The good news is that the VN in full-box comes with 3 different ohm coils. And that with VV you can use all three. So you can test out how long a full battery lasts for each. Theoretically, higher voltages are more efficient than lower ones. Thus higher ohms too. But...it is totally dependent on the efficiency of the booster electronics in the e-cig. And that's a crap-shoot. So...?????? who knows. Maybe someone has tested it out for that make/model. IDK the answer.

But again, the normal recommendation is standard ohms if you're ordering replacement heads for the VN.

What Pops said pretty much sums it up. It is really about finding what works for you. Having a decent VV and 3 different ohm coils will allow you to zero in on what you like. But as Pops said, different makes of boosters will have different results with the same coil. You will re-experiment every time you get a new PV.

I ended up ordering 2 650mah Joye Twist, a Vision 2.0 clearomizer, a kanger mt3 ego clearo and a vision mini vivi nova. I also ordered some replacement heads. I figured I would try a few different kinds to see which I like best.
I am so excited, can't wait til I receive them. I am so sick of my cartomizers running out unexpectedly, so being able to see the liquid left will be amazing.
