I'm looking at the ipv mini 30 watt on myvaporstore.com and I'm confused by the battery selections. They list 4 options, all 18650, which from my understanding is the size/shape of the battery, then they have gradually larger mAh ratings, which is how much power they hold. What im confused by is that 3 of them say flat, followed by 25A, 30A, and 35A. What does flat mean and what is the corresponding number?

"Flat" means the positive post of the battery is flat which is what MOST devices use anyways (vary rarely have I even seen a mod that a button top is preferable) and the numbers with "25a, 30a, and 35a" is the corresponding amp limits, although if it is claiming that there is a 35a battery then it MUST be talking about pulse amp ratings and not the continuous amp ratings cause there is no battery that is an acutal continuous amp rating of 30a other than the VTC series batteries from sony

The numbers are the max continuous amperage ratings .............. except ............... there is no such thing as 35a 18650 battery. (that is the "pulse" rating, not the continues rating)

So whats the benefit of having higher amperage? Still very new to vaping and trying to understand everything and how it works. Thanks for the help!

Higher amperage simply gives you more "cushion" in your builds as far as your amp draw goes...since you are new to this I am assuming you are planning on some safe builds until you get better at building and understanding the amp limits, mah ratings and everything else
