Hey guys, so I've been using 18650 2500mah batteries in my istick pico. My wife went out today and came back with an extra battery for me when she was buying juice. It's 18650 2100mah. Would it be okay for me to interchange this with the ones I already have?? Or should i just stick to changing the 2500mah in and out??

Yes you can switch em out back and fourth. No worries. Only thing is the battery will deplete faster.

How many watts do you ask the pico to provide?

Ive Been using Samsung and my wife got a Sony. The highest I ever get to is 32watts. Usually my sweet spot setting though is 28.5watts.
Can you tell us the model of the batteries? The Samsungs are probably 25R, and the Sony should be a VTC-something.
Switching between different models of batteries is no problem at all. (In case you ever go to a two battery mod, I should mention that using different models together, at the same time, would definitely be a problem.) We're asking all these questions because there are a lot of 18650s around that either aren't suitable for vaping at all or aren't suitable for higher wattages, so we just want to make sure that your particular batteries are safe for the way you're using them.
@Izan's just posted Mooch's chart, and it's a great reference for finding good batteries. You'll notice there's a list of reliable suppliers at the bottom. Buying from them can really reduce your risk of ending up with an unsafe counterfeit.

The samsungs are 25R and the Sony is VTC4. I bought them both from a local vape shop so I know they're not fake.
They'll both work, but as you stated you normally don't exceed 32w.
Why not use an authentic quality 3000mah 20a CDR cell to take advantage of the increased run time / between recharge cycle vape time.

Good for you. Not every consumer takes the time or trouble to cross check batteries for accuracy, and will blindly believe whatever their vape vendor tells them. Very bad idea.
I used to work in a vape shop so I speak with some experience. I can guarantee that not every vape shop employee or owner knows what they need to know about lithium ion batteries, battery specifications, or ohm's law calculations. I was "just an sales associate" in the vape shop that I worked in. I don't know why but we had a few ICR batteries as well as IMR hybrid batteries for sale. ICR batteries actually have NO PLACE to be sold in vape shops. I actually caught my store manager about to sell an ICR battery to a customer for his mechanical mod. I pulled the manager aside and quietly told her that unless she wanted to be responsible for her customer to have that battery explode in his face, she needed to recommend an IMR hybrid battery instead. I probably saved this from happening to that customer.

That's actually not surprising to me at all. One vape shop here in town I went into it and they had like 5 teenagers working there. I'm talking like 19 year old kids. It was strange to have this baby face boy ask me for my ID, I'm 27. My brother in law has been vaping for a long time now and he swears by this vape shop. I went in there the one time to buy a charger and I won't be going back. lolGood for you. Be safe and buy your batteries from one of the vendors below and know that you are getting genuine batteries. The best are generally from Sony, Samsung, and LG, although Mooch has tested and approved other brands and found them to be vape worthy.
