Afternoon all, well, it's almost been a week for me, so far so good... I went with the Jacvapour kit, arrived last Saturday, very impressed. since then ive also bought about 10 different liquids to try, about 6 tanks and another 2 batterys...As you guys probably know all Jacvapour stuff is 808 thread, nice, but limits me.... and very hard to find. Also Jacvapour stuff isn't cheap.... I am now wondering if I should buy another battery with "normal" thread is it EGO / 510 ???? that way I can buy various accessories from where ever I want and they will all fit... I have seen lots of batterys all over the net, but some seem too cheap, I would like a decent quality one, I don't mind paying a bit more for the quality...So guys / girls, what would you recommend to me... be nice to have a choice... I would like.... 650 mah AUTO. Im happy with the Auto for the time being, suits my lifestyle percectly. Many thanks

Not familiar with your starting point...Jacvapour, and don't use the 808 threads, so I'm at a bit of a loss there. You may want to start with a basic stick battery and some good bottom coil clearos. Here's my two cents on stick batts:

Stick Batteries, known as eGo Style Batteries (entry level, backup, out and about, stealth, primary):

Trusted Vendors shown, but NOT selected based on pricing, you'll still need to shop around. You will need device specific battery chargers (which often come in kits) for these devices. Also, kits often provide two batteries allowing for simultaneous vaping while charging of the backup. Each of the eGo style batteries below have both 510 and eGo thread connections. As such, they are compatible with most toppers, including most Kanger products. Additionally, each of these devices has at least variable voltage, which allows you to adjust and regulate the battery output voltage, providing customizable vapor production, temperature, throat hit, and finding the "sweet spot" for your juices to suit your individual vaping preferences:

1. Innokin iTaste 3.0 vv/vw, usb passthrough, ohms reader, etc. - https://ivape.net/index.php/iTaste-VV-3.0-Variable-Wattage-Device-Pearl-Chrome.html (variable power, LCD display, +/- buttons, Usb passthrough, 3.3 - 5.0 volts, 6.0 - 11.0 watts, 800mAh)
2. SLB KGO VV - http://www.hoosierecig.com/Mega-KGO-VV-1200mAh-3-6v-_p_441.html (LCD display, +/- buttons, Usb passthrough, 3.0 - 6.0 volts, 650 - 1200mAh)
3. Vision Spinner - Vision Spinner VV eGo Battery 1300mAh (3.3 - 4.8 volts, 1300mAh)
4. Joyetech Twist - eGo Twist 1000 Mah Battery in Black (3.2 - 4.8 volts, 650 - 1000mAh)
5. Smoktech Winder - Smok eGo Winder 900mAh Variable Volt Battery (3.2 - 4.8 volts, 900 - 1100mAh)

Best Starter Combo kit out there, imho, provides two batteries, i.e., the twist and/or spinner, and two toppers, i.e., the eVod and/or MT3s, among others: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm.

Recommend the eVod and the Spinners to start. BTW, you can spend less and get a fixed voltage battery, but you'll have much less vape flexibility and it won't be long before you'll want to upgrade to variable voltage, more than likely, and the difference initially is only a few dollars per battery anyway. There are plenty of auto batteries, but I can't think of one right now with variable voltage, but they've got to be out there, right?

Another good way to go, imho, is the iTaste 3.0. Get two, one for backup and charging. IVape has them on sale:

iTaste VV 3.0 - Variable Wattage Device - Pearl Chrome | Variable Voltage | MODS | iVAPE

Use coupon code "itastevv" for a 30% discount. Only a bit more than a Twist or Spinner, but feature rich like a Vamo, but smaller than a Twist. Great device.

Any ego battery is the best way to go all around...which U buy is dependent on your finances..seriously I have genuine fixed and variables and clones of fixed and twists and don't see much difference except in the costs...quality, well U can get a junk BMW or a super Chevy Aero...its hit or miss anyplace...I do suggest an 1100a battery though for long lasting..personally I like DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo or 2390 Electronic Cigarettes at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping ...but to each their own..

I like the 808's too, particularly the Echo auto battery. The snobbery here about manual batteries is quite strong - I HATE MANUAL BATTERIES - on top of which the new auto batteries are sealed, so you don't have to worry about ruining the battery with leaking tanks.

I find the secret to be adapters - a good set of adapters means you can get and use just about anything you want with your 808 batteries.

901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer Adapter will hook your 808 batteries up to any 510 connection.
You can also get 306/801/ego adapters ... I have a totally awesome collection of adapters.

Like all social media, you get good advice and bad advice and correct information and bad information. Up to you to wade through it.
Smokeless Image/ Volt is an 808 battery, the new and improved Echo auto batteries are still 808 - run into lots more - so those who tell you
that 808's are going out are not exactly up to date on what is available on the market.
Most mods so far do seem to be 510 - so that may explain their being so out of touch with reality, since the propaganda here is totally wrapped up into progressing into mods ... and most of them can not wrap their heads around the idea that someone might not want/like mods or manual batteries.
An insidious prejudice that one must accept and deal with in order to share in the abundance of other advice and information available on this site.

This my new newest 808 toy:

http://www.tropicalvapors.com/SMOK-Tech-510-Cartomizer--Single-Coil--Low-Resistance--XXL_p_12.html -- which of course uses one of my 808 to 510 adapters, for a really cool look, and 2.5 mil of juice - which is more than enough for me, because I get bored quickly and gives me a chance to change to another flavor.

The 510 and eGo are very widely supported. 808 can be a bit limiting. There are devices for it but not on the scale of the other two.

The two brands most commonly recommended are Vision and Joyetech (though I've heard Smoktech is good, I'm not familiar with them myself). You do want to avoid "knock offs". One good place to check is the Forum Supplier section here on ECF. Several UK vendors listed.

For the most options, you'd need to move up to eGo. They have "dual threads". Fit both 510 and eGo threaded devices. But you would have to give up "auto". That's only found on the "stick" batteries. The less powerful ones meant to "look like" a cigarette. There are 510 autos out there. But eGo batteries are all manual.

Honestly, having tried both, I prefer manual a great deal. The auto batteries are triggered by the air movement when you take a "drag". That means there's an inevitable lag in the coil heating up. I fell into the habit of doing several quit "puffs" just to get the coil head revved up to make the vapor production better when I took a "drag". It became annoying.

Switching to pushing a button isn't that hard really. It becomes habit quickly. And gives you better control. It's worth thinking about.

Reality is that the "cig-a-like" (the ones that try to imitated cigarettes in form) are always underpowered (because only so much battery fits in a small form) and the devices they work with are limited. The eGo style has spread like wildfire because it works with so many widgets. You have tons and tons of options. That and the much, much better battery life.

I know they may seem "bulky" compared to cigarettes and I was hesitant myself. I went to a vape shop to see a Joyetech Twist in person because they seemed too big in the photos online. They're not so big after all. I've had mine in a top pocket and my mom mistook it for a pen. Asked where my "vapor widget" was. :)

I'd suggest checking the Forum Supplier section. There are several UK vendors listed (and the ones listed here are known and have a good rep on the forum). Maybe you could find one close enough to go visit in person and actually see the batteries and devices. May help you decide?

I started with the "auto" cigarette sized Blu brand. Then tried a "stick" 510 set up. Finally gave in and went eGo and that's where I've stayed. Yeah, they're a bit bigger and there's a little bit of adjusting to be done but, in the end, I'm much, much a happier with my Twists than any "stick" style.

A leak will kill the the auto-battery. Try manual ego or ego-twist. I have 3 ego batteries and happy with them.

Oh yeah, definitely. That's probably the worst thing about autos. Juice leaks are gonna happen. At least little drops and dribbles. With my eGo, I wipe the contacts and move on. No big thing. I wouldn't even think about an auto now.
