Has anybody had a AW 18650 short on them, and how would you tell? I think the one in my Magneto shorted today, and gave me a nice white spot on the tip of my finger.

I'm supposing that checking the resistance with a multimeter may work, but don't know what levels to expect.

For those who say it couldn't be anywhere near the pain level of a 9v, it definitely felt like I just cut the contact point on a sharp knife.

At the time I had a smok Magneto mech mod, AW 18650 2000mAh battery, and Protank II with 3.0 ohm coil.

As Hoosier said check the voltage before using it again!!!!
What were you doing when it shorted? How did you get a white spot on your finger.

I went to use it, didn't get any airflow. I disassembled my protank to look for anything that might have been causing it to seize up. Tested it on my lavatube, and when I went to put it back on my magneto and take a hit off it, got a nice little shock through the button on the bottom (that and the hot battery case). I ended up getting a new battery.

The odd thing is that when I put the battery in question in my lavatube to check voltage, it seemed to read normal (4.0v).
