just changed post to copper and built a dual coil and fired it and it just got hot and switch was sticking to the battery, and so i threw the batt out. i shoulda checked ohm reading before, but it said 0.00 which is prolly because the center post too deep touching the side of the rda it's a sony vtc 5 can I still use it? it was really hot on the negative side of the battery. and has some dots from where it was sticking to the negative pin

I would NOT use that battery again. Chalk it up to a lesson learned. You absolutely do not want to use that battery again and cause a dead short. And a 0 ohm reading is just that. You are lucky it didn't hit thermal runaway when you fired it the first time. Toss it and get another.

From now on be sure to check your resistance BEFORE firing it on a mod.
