Mike do we need to go find those little magnetic battery spacers for these 14430 batteries? I don't think these batteries are going to work in the Infinity without them. I thought I saw you mention them someplace but I don't remember where.

I charged up a pair(they came off at 4.2v) but they won't fire the ∞ so I'm assuming that the batteries are not making contact.

Did I miss something? Are the new batteries different?

I think the batteries Mike had to get to hold everyone over until after Chinese New Year are unprotecteds so they are shorter. Seems I remember Mike saying something about gluing spacers onto them before sending them out with orders. It is still safe since there is protection built into the ∞Infinity.

Mike please correct me if I'm mistaken on my info :)

I just placed an order tonight for a infinity kit and 3 spare sets of batteries. I'm not real happy finding out afterwards that the batteries will be unprotected. I found a place or two online that sells the 14430, and the picture looks like they are protected, however I don't know how to tell if they are button top or not?

Unlike a lot of mods out there, the Infinity has over current and heat protection built into the unit, the same as you would get from protected batteries. I have no idea if the ones you linked will work but your best bet would be to contact sales@notcigs.com and talk to Mike or Terri :)

We tend to get off topic here Triple, sorry for the confusion. The unprotected batteries are a temporary fill in until Mike can get the original 14430s back in stock after Chinese New year is over and shipments resume :(

IIR the extension tube is not going to happen. Mike has a new technology that will extend the battery life by 40ish% so that will be what he uses instead of the extension and 14500 batts. He'll be back tomorrow some time to answer questions...and correct me if I'm wrong.
