I know this subject gets touched on here and there from various angles, but I'm trying to decide what's the best way to rotate batteries when I'm stocking quite a few extras. This especially pertains to those of you who are REALLY stockpiling. For instance, I have about a dozen batteries for a certain model, and I was trying to rotate them and keep them with some amount of charge, but I've noticed that they lose charge fairly quickly while just sitting, especially since I use a passthrough most of the time and it takes me a while to get to them. What I'm getting at is what's the most efficient way to make sure that batteries bought today will still work a year from now? I can't imagine never using them and getting good service quite a while from now. Am I simply having NiCd flashbacks? TIA

My wife and I use 3 batteries each. We have another 12 in stock. We've been using our 3 for about 2 months with no problems. I'm wondering if we should charge the others once in a while, or is it OK to let them sit
the way they came from the seller. Any opinions? I'd be ...... if they went bad by not charging.
