Battery temperature

I have an eVic. As you may know they have a temperature alarm. When I loaded firmware 1.1 it resets the alarm to the lowest setting so the alarm is flashing right off the bat.

Anyways, my question is, what is the highest safe temperature for a battery to run? My 18350 has read 56C once while running as a pass through.

I would get worried at 140-150F

No that comes from years of using Li batteries in very high draw applications. In those applications I prefer my packs to stay under 120F but many times I see them in the 140F+ range. I have never pushed them to thermal run away, but with a device inches from my face I would prefer a margin of safety.

Well, I've only seen it come close using it as a pass through and plugged into an outlet, not a computer usb.

I don't use my eVic in passthrough mode. It just doesn't sit well with me.
