I have never really used my batteries till they are deader than dead as I notice after about a day the drop off when vaping. I then just throw them on my ultra fire rapid chargers. Normally the red lights are still blinking, which I believe indicates they are not totally dead yet.

I went to radio shack and bought a batt tester. Doofus there said testing them at the 3V setting was fine since there was no 3.7. I checked my batts when I felt them dying off and they still tested good, the guage went right to good, not anywhere in the middle. The doof also told me I shouldn't charge them until they were completely dead or I'd kill them fast.

Am I missing something? Or just do not have a proper tester? I think I'll return it as it has no purpose for me. I also thought new battery technology means you don't have to run it down to nothing to recharge it.

The battery people in this forum told me to test it at the next setting higher than the battery voltage, not the next lower.

I thought it was only the Nickle-Cadmium batteries that need to be drained before charging if you don't want them to stop holding a charge. That was the problem with cordless phones when they first came out -- you had to let it die and then you couldn't use them until they were fully recharged. But I might be wrong -- it could be a problem for Li-on and LiMN batteries too.

Li-ion batteries do not have a memory, charge the whenever you like.

The 3.7's at full charge will be around 4.2v and the protection circuit will interrupt them at 2.5v to keep them from being completely drained.

If you notice a marked drop in vapor, odds are they are around 3v and definately need to be charged.

I almost bought one. Ran to the car, grabbed my chuck with an atty and asked him how I'd test it after explaining what the heck it was to him. He had no flippen clue, asked the other guy working, no clue either. Anyone have a thread link that shows how to use them? I was kinda curious because I think I fried out one of the LR attys faster than fast.
