Hello all,

I have a question. I have a trustfire 001 charger. Charging 18650 IMR AW batts. I notice when it is time to charge a discharged battery (when my provari tells me it is time to charge it) for the first 10 minutes or so the battery makes a high piched whine noise... It happens with 4 different batteries from 3 different vendors. Anyone else notice this or is it just me? Is this the norm?

Thanks
Frazz

This doesn't happen on my 14500's. Is this only a 18650 thing?

I never noticed this on my 14500's when i was using them, but i was using a different charger. I also have a tenergy charger I got from ProVape. Maybe I will try this the next time they need to be charged and see if there is a difference (have yet to use this charger).

I'm pretty sure it's the charger as mine does this as well. If you recharge them before they are deeply discharged it shouldn't make the noise. Try recharging a battery early and see. IMR's seem to cause this most frequently but it can happen with other types if they've been fully discharged (i.e. battery voltage is low). Another thing is if you have a battery like this you'll probably find you can only use one channel on the charger until the voltage has risen and the buzzing stops.
