I have a sigelei Zmax V3 flatop and was wanting to get some backup batteries. I have no clue about batteries besides the size and mah. I would like an 18650,18500,18350 that would go great with my Sigelei Zmax V3

i stick with the real red AW 18650's 2000mah for all my full sided devices,there are higher mah battery's out there but safely and reliability come first for me.

I would go with either Efest or AW's. Some have also had good success with Panasonic. CCV sells Efests and they have FREE shipping:

Protected batteries have short protection, but unprotected batteries aren't less safe, they have different chemistry Li-Mn. Devices like the Vamo/Zmax/ProVari have protection already built into them and aren't design for a protected battery.

No. Unprotected for the Zmax. Other people have different brands they like, but I use these in all my mods. You'd want the red ones: Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor

ETA: I put Vamo in my other post since I forgot you had a Zmax.

Panasonic batteries aren't too bad. I've had good luck them.
