Here's my 2 cents:

I'm interested in the Cyborg (and other DNA 20 mods). But I'm going to wait a few months after its available to see how users are fairing with it. As we have all seen before, sometimes there is a lot of hype surrounding an anticipated device and it hits the market with a giant thud. If it means I wait until the 2nd production run on the Cyborg, then, so be it. At that point, I'll feel more comfortable parting with $250.

I already own 2 ProVaris and highly reccomend it to anyone that is considering it. I don't feel I'm missing out on anything going from VW to VV, and have 2 quality PVs that I don't need to worry about the longevity on. Also, there is something to be said for the first time you hold a ProVari in your hand compared to other PVs. You instantly feel the heft and quality of it. And I really don't care what anyone says, for $140-$180, it's a great value for the $$$, especially considering the warranty and the fact that even if you somehow manage to break it (not likely), you can have it repaired for a reasonable cost.

That's not to say the ProVari is for everyone, but if you're in the market for a higher end VV APV, it needs to seriously be considered. As for the Cyborg, assuming it is releases somewhere near planned, it'll have to wait till at least the end of summer before I jump on it. And who knows, by the time the Cyborg is out and I'm sure the bugs have been worked out, there may be something that I want more.

well you learn something new everyday, got a 2.5v provari, build quality is excellent, starting with sub 1 ohm myself. so gotta get a mech mod.

Find a Segelei #8 mechanical mod, buy it. Its actually heavier then my Provari Mini by a fair bit, and built just as solidly. I'll dig up a pic in a minute.

My vapemail from LAST Sat.

A Segelei #8 and a Provari Mini.

Wait for the cyborg, absolutely. Don't waste your money on the provari, it's well built but outdated.

Spoken by a person not owning a Provari!

:D

I have most every new major mod thats released in the past 9 months......its the best VV mod available to date, period.

Until you own many mods your opinion is moot.

Do you own one ? If not it would be like me saying the Tesla is crap, even though I do not own one. Of course, let me be clear, I do not think the Tesla is crap or great, as I have never owned one.
If you do or have owned one and think its a waste of money, then that is a valid opinion. No mod will be for everyone. I have liked all the mods I have owned and do own. But my favorites are my Provari and my Gus.
