So i bought a few of these "very high vapor production" atty's and they are great. They do seem to produce more vapor. The supplier website suggests to prime with 1 or 2 drops directly in the atty before you insert your cart. They say to do this because they perform best wet. OK cool, no prob, done.

My question is how long should it be before i have to do this again? I prime it and vape for abit and its great. But after a short time (3-5 mins) I start tasting plastic. My cart is full, I see a small pool of liquid on top of the cart indicating to me that I do not need to top it up. Normally, when I taste plastic it's time to top up.. not the case right now. I can direct drip on the atty and the plastic taste is gone for awhile again.

So do I need to "prime" this atty after every small vape session?
It is brand new, maybe that's why?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

OP: You might want to look into dripping, which is practically what you are doing with that atty.

Also, if the cart is that wet, but not gaping well, it may not be getting to the wick. Try a different cart, making sure the filler is not packed too tightly, it will keep the juice from wicking.

I suggest the HighPing filler mod. Simply cut the filler in half, fill cart with fluid to about 1/8th of an inch from the top, reinsert the halved filler until it is level with the top of the cart. It should look wet, if not add a drop or two. The filler will self adjust to the tip of the bridge of the atomizer, insuring contact. With LR atties, it gets hot quicker and vaporizes the juice quicker, producing good vapor while it has juice available. That's the key. Dripping is one way to ensure a wet atty. Another is to never use just one unit. Keep several in rotation. Using one unit too frequently dries the filler faster than it can wick to the attie. This causes the off taste.
