Hi Sun, Thanks for the reply. These sound like a winner then! I'll have to try a few. It will be nice not to worry about compatibility. I just wish every part had an I.D. stamp on it so we know what we are really getting.
I have a number of 112 attys (used to be 7 now 6 since 1 died) and don't get good performance out of any of them. I guess I am the only one. I can use a new cart from JC (a hair longer than most 801 carts and work best in the thing), completely topped up, and get a few minutes decent vaping. After a couple minutes with a topped up cart I can get good throat hit with a couple of the attys just before it starts to taste burned. This is nothing like a 201 where I consistently get great throat hit and good taste (but with a hard draw and it clogs up easily) or an 801 as long as the 801 cart is fluffed up properly. What I am doing wrong?

Maybe you're doing nothing wrong. If you didn't buy them that long ago, you could maybe ask Beci to send you replacements. They sound like they are not working properly. No matter what I do, I can't get an atty to work properly after it starts to taste like burnt metal.

The JC penstyle blank cartridges have very dense batting/wicking material. It is so dense, that if you don't use a syringe to fill them - but instead use only dripping to fill them - you will never get them filled more that a quarter of the way from the top downwards. The burning taste is likely from the batting material drying out and combusting. You can know for sure if the batting matterial has a sizable burnt divot in it upon inspection.
The other thing about the JC penstyle blanks is that they are the longer size. This works great with the njoy ncig, because the ncig's atomizer is one of the longest penstyle atomizers. But for shorter length penstyle atomizers, like the BE112, the shorter length cartridges work best. When the longer cartridges are used in the shorter atomizers, too much batting material is pressed up too tightly against the heating element - which is bound to cause at least some of the batting material to dry out quickly and combust.
The penstyle cartridges (pre-filled or blanks) from ruyan direct fit the BE112 well. However, they are a little short for the njoy ncig (the JC blanks work well with the ncig). Of course, the cartridges from bestecig fit the BE112 well too, which is expected since they are BE112 cartridges...
So my suggestion is to some cartridge other than the JC with your BE112. Preferbably a shorter one than the JC.

I have tried other carts including best and eastmall as well as tried various densities of handpacking the fluff in them. I always start with a full cart, which for me is typically 25-30 drops, with and without a straw mod and never let carts dry out.
After reading your post, though, I got out a Best prefilled cart (I have a ton of them since I am not particularly fond of marlboro) and vaped away for an hour with good throat hit and no metallic taste! It is not the cart or the atty, it is the juice I am using! I apologize to Best for maligning their attys!
JC VG juices are my favorite but I find them thick, in the two orders I have gotten from them anyway. I cannot use them in my 201s since it makes them way too hard to draw in a short time. So I reserve them for use in my 801s and 112s. It must be too thick to soak through the 112 screen quickly enough. Could have something to do with me vaping like a smokestack, too.

Apparently there is a change in the heating element design on my most recent batch of BE112 atomizers. The diameter of the heating element has been reduced.
Now, to explain, I've seen roughly two kinds of heating elements. One kind is thicker (slightly less in diameter than a paper clip) and the other is thinner (slightly less in diameter than dental floss). The thin kind is what is typically found in cartomizers. The thick kind is usually in all others.
Now the BE112 (801 penstyle clone) has the think cartomizer-style heating element. The basin of the atomizer has two holes for the old thick-sized heating element. Now, for the new heating element, they go around those holes with the thin element and wrap it in that hair-like material.
For me, this new design has resulted in a funny taste (of the hair burning, like on a cartomizer) and shorter atomizer life.
But maybe I don't understand if this new heating element is supposed to be an improvement? The thicker heating element seem to work better for me.

zgsp--Interesting as I just got an order of BE112's in--I have been buying them for 4 months now and have to say I do not see any new design at all here. I will e-mail them and confirm this new design.

I started vaping with a BE112 and BE112 PT. I bought 5 attys in April and still have 4 left and working well. They work in my Janty Stick too. I have cleaned them and they just keep on going. I am really impressed with them. The batteries, not so good, are too sensitive and dont work that well for me. IMO the attys are great for the price.
I have had excellent luck with Best e cig's 901 attomizers. The one that I am currently using has been going strong for almost 2 months. Beci's customer service is fantastic. He is on the ball!
How do the BE112's work with the Prodigy and Janty Stick? Also I already have a bunch of carts from Eastmall. Will they be a good fit?
I got the BE112 attys in last week and the Prodigy last Saturday.
I don't know about the Janty Stick, but I've found that the BE112 atty works great with the Prodigy and also the GG.
Good fit with no leaking and I've been using it just with dripping - no carts.
I will never go back to 112's after getting RN4072's. My experience is that 4072's taste better, vape much better because they stay moist longer, leak less and last longer. They never seem to dry out so I have been using about half of the amount of liquid that I did in the 112.
Well, I for one HATE the rubberised carts - they are much cheaper and the filling is stuck inside (you can't remove it and rinse it out unless you pull really hard and then it gets trashed). But the hard plastic carts are a ....* to find, so my question is: will the BE112 carts fit in a DSE801 atomiser? And do they sell blanks?
