Here’s what I got from a seller at eBay. The condition is stated as new, but you can see clearly it’s not. This is what some sellers there do. They sell their used belongings, and those of their friends, as new products considering that some buyers wouldn’t bother themselves by getting into the hassle of sending back and refunding, and would rather accept what they get.
The seller’s account is ‘codevape’. Be careful

If you file a claim through Paypal and say the item is not as described they will give you your money back. Then report the seller to Ebay.

When I shop ebay I don't just look for the "cheapest" price. I look for reasonable prices with excellent reviews.

Buying vape gear from Amazon & Ebay has always been a crap shoot. Take this as a lesson learned. Buy from reputable e-cig vendors. A list of these vendors can be found in the ECF Suppliers Forum.

I have had really good luck buying equipment on Ebay. I agree that I always keep in mind the positive reviews when buying, it has worked for me. I am sorry you had a bad experience. You can file a complaint with Ebay and maybe it will be taken care of.

just bought a backup set, an ego, the battery works fine but the clear cart looks like junk. For $10 I'll take the battery and not complain, you get what you pay for.

Ebay and Amazon can be great sellers of good merchandise if U read their reviews..and they offer a refund in case of any problems..don't judge an entire large website based on 1 bad experience by 1 person..
