beadblast?

I have a mod and atomizer I'd like to have beadblasted. I love the finish on the russian 91% and would like to replicate that matte blasted look, top to bottom. I've googled around and there's a few local places that can do this, even a guy that does art and jewelry refinishing.

I came across some warning that media blasting stainless can sometimes lead to rust. Will this happen to me? Any other precautions I should take or things I should know that might go wrong?

Is this project ill-advised or will my vape be cool?

Having bead blasted SS before, but not on a mod, not sure why it would rust any more than it would've before you hit it. I have a few cutting implements my brother has hit with glass bead, and they show no signs of rust.

depends on the grade of steel and if there are any contaminates in the blasting media.
