Bear Brass Mods Hot Switch Fix Install - YouTube

that's Crash Vapes youtube on putting the new switch in.... with home tools.

still looking for the part where wooky lubes it....

CV says the brass part will smooth out... and he says that he Noaloxed it at some point...

not that i'm worried, i love this mod and atty; just getting the kinks worked out at this point.

If i chain vape, i'm constantly working the switch, and it will stick at about half push, i apply more pressure, and it fires.

I put a dab of noalox on the post of the button before I got the magnets in. Helped a ton. Used for a few days then took it apart and cleaned it off and put anothe dab on there. Working nice and smooth now. My buddy took a bit of 2000 grit to the spot where the button pole slides through and that worked for him. I just did it like Bear did in the video

3:50 in on the vid I posted shows the lubing portion.

And that just sounds so wrong......

I took it apart and found there was some vaseline, i cleaned and put noalox...
I had not snugged the connector screw all the way - to keep a short throw, so but even snugged, it still can be sticky. I have to use my ring finger tip.
Sometines it is smooth but too often it sticks right at beginning of press - i put more pressure and it releases; like one magnet is hanging up on the post.
(They are opposing as per directions)

i emailed e-6... to see if there are others with same issue.

this is such a great mod, i am happy i have it; this is just annoying at this point.

i am being offered a BBM Ti + Changeling + SS Steam Turbine for €500, all used but in mint condition as per seller.

what do u guys think? having a hard time to make a decision here

I'm probably one of the few who don't know a thing about the Steam Turb... but sounds like a decent deal. close to retail.
It's good if you can afford the luxury of a titanium mod and atty... i love titanium because of lightness, strength ( and i have a lot of luck with Ti attys for some reason lol... less conductivity; fewer hot spots ?)
They are sleek, well designed... penny for penny, no, but otherwise, yes.
Lack of clone = +1 too. You can't clone Ti.... :)

well, so far no one has been disappointed by docdave's atty yet, so pretty much i wanna give it a try too :p never tried one first hand thou lol..

i am actually asking for the Steam Turbine only, but then he came out with the BBM Ti + Changeling offer so seems like pretty hard to resist.. i hate myself sometimes, always falls for temptation and the BBM had been in my wishlist for some time now..

grace lord pls help this poor guy :(

Has nyone drilled out their changeling? I'm not one to modify air holes but it's too tight for me. I get lightheaded from taking draws on it. What size did you drill it out too?

I havnt drilled mine out. I got the looser draw according to Mr Bear. It was a faulty still a bit to tight of a draw for me at first but I quickly got used to it. Now all my drippers have to have adjustable air flow since I got used to that draw. It's funny

I have a .59 Ohms coil ... skinny cable wick with an eko sleeve at top... micro wrap 26g nichrome. No hot spots. The vapor is like busting out the seams, so i don't need long draws.

my bad, that above was for a DID... my Changeling has a porous ceramic with hot wrapped 26g, and didn't meter it; just know its very low resistance... like 3/4 wrap. Goes through a tank very fast...Love it.
