I'd like to try the smok Magneto....

It's nice, plain, simple, no engravings all over, vanilla mod. And available in SS, would prefer black to go with most of my other mods, but plain SS in also acceptable....

I still fee like I have way to much vaping stuff everywhere. But just like with life in general, one of the bigger steps forward for me was to decide to part with what I wasn't using and didn't need. Pif stuff that others will use is the easy part...giving feels good and making a difference to someone else is an addictive feeling. The hard part for me was throwing stuff away that I felt I might have some use for in the future that others would not want. Empty bottles, broken parts (tanks, mods, misc.) batteries, wonky charger, etc. etc..

It is amazing how much stuff you can clear when you really look at the things you currently use and try to clear all else. Just like in real life with cleaning out a garage or a closet of clothes you no longer wear.

Storage of all the gear just keeps getting to be a bigger issue. Already got it in 3 places around the house. Then there's the bag for the stuff that get hauled daily. Plus I keep some things at the office. Need to clear an area to make a decent work/storage space.

Wow, I am really impressed with your artistic talents. That looks super professional...so well done! I have a million sliding boxes but I wouldn't dare try, just not in my wheel house. Can't even cut paper in a straight line! As some here may know, my vaping supplies are mostly housed in old wood cigar boxes. They work great for juice bottles!

+10 for wood cigar boxes!!
I purchased a couple of the plastic storage boxes they make for blankets and comforters to store the cigar boxes....

I always preferred regulated, but had a run of a few months where I mostly used mechs. The magneto was a favorite...loved the look and feel. Performance was tops and it was very reliable. One of the few mech mods that I have kept.

Yeah, I've got a lot of stuff in old cigar boxes, they are wonderful, and look great!

You don't have to cut paper to put the sliding boxes together, just use a hot glue gun, and glue one on top of the other. they don't have to be decorated.

Since the Kanger PT3 one is black with red drawers, I used some origami paper over it. First, I put black card stock around it, since that's fairly strong, then I cut pieces of black, gold and red patterned origami paper to 1/4" smaller than each side, and glued to the top, sides, and back. The drawer "pulls" are little oriental jewelry findings. It came out really nice!

The match boxes work well and are larger, but the Kanger boxes are so strong and nice, that I wish I had more of them!

They are great for holding your o rings, all those coils we save for rebuilding, the sets of spare parts that come with RBAs, clearos, all those little screwdrivers, and all sorts of things!

Funny to think that the the things from my earliest days of vaping that have given me the most use for the longest time are my 2 ego cases! Not the egos, the ego chargers or the ce4's!!

Still useful to this day. I keep one in the car with some emergency supplies and bring one to work with the days vaping agenda!!

those little ego cases are great for that stuff. I think I still have several hanging around somewhere

Kath.. rather cute but you have way too much time on your hands! But seems you should be able to manage making a stand for your E Mech. Son made me one by melting and bending plastic.

I have clouded several plastic tanks and cracked a few but they were just casualties of vaping. Also killed a syringe when making a DIY juice... banana got it. My first rebuildable was the Taifun GS and it really worked great for me for a couple weeks then that fateful day that I poured Arnie Palmer (1/2 Iced Tea/1/2 Lemonade) in there. As soon as it was filled, I realized my mistake but was already too late and the plastic was falling apart in my hand. They don't make replacement tanks for it and no glass or stainless either. Mostly citrus juices but there are some others too. They say cinnamon but can't prove that one as have vaped cinnamon with no problems. Pretty sure that one with the Absinthe and Horehound will eat tanks, banana. There is a list somewhere on ECF I only buy glass or stainless tanks now.

The Capella Custard v2 is the one without the bad stuff. It is sweet and creamy and pale yellow in color to start. Killer Juice Custard is slightly sweet, mellow, very dense and eggy and dark brown. Both benefit from a nice long steep and I prefer the KJ one but son prefers the CAP. I actually like the Sweet Vanilla I got from Vape Mall better than either...it is just vanilla and sugar with no artificial sweetener taste.

My device for your site would be the Dovpo mini 50.

Kathi that is a great idea good place to put atomizers wire and such... +2 likes

Hi Deb, the CAP V1 flavors have things like Diacetyl and acetoin, and the V2 flavors don't.

My chest of Kanger drawers is at my mother's, but here's a similar one I made from little match boxes.

View attachment 414760

I didn't decorate the Kanger one like this, the one in the photo is part of another project. I've also done some with the larger boxes with kitchen matches in them. Some of them have two or three stacks of three or four, and the stacks are glued together side by side, so they are three or four high, and two or three wide, if that makes sense.

Anyway, if anyone wants to make inexpensive chests of drawers for your vaping supplies, save all your sliding boxes, they work great, especially the Kanger boxes!

That's cute! I've done some of those with the matchboxes, but don't think I got them uploaded. Hope this link works, you might be interested in my gallery on stampin addicts. I haven't been active on there for the last couple years since I had to stop being a demo and put all my stamp stuff in storage, but seems like maybe we share a hobby somewhat.
Debadoo Gallery - Stampin Addicts Gallery You can click on each photo to make them bigger.

and thanks for letting me know about the V1.

Yeah, we do share another addiction, card making!!! https://www.pinterest.com/kathi17a/ Only we'd better not discuss that here!

It's funny how other hobbies can give us ideas to help with other parts of our lives. I would never have thought about using the boxes to make storage for my vaping things if I hadn't done the card making. My cardmaking is also how I buy vaping equipment. If I didn't sell the things I make, I wouldn't be able to buy vaping supplies!

I know exactly what you are saying. When I say I like chocolate, it really is the cocoa essence that I am attached to. But for my taste buds, when it comes to chocolate vapes, that is what I pick up on. The cocoa! If a choco vape is too sweet it is not really for me, but the ones that have that thick chocolate essence, almost a smell that translates to taste, if that means anything, is where it is at for me.

I love coffee vapes too, and they really are some of my favorites, but so far, I haven't found a chocolate that really tastes like chocolate to me. Maybe it's because I like cocoa better than chocolate. I'm not crazy about milk chocolate, and the only hot cocoa I really like is the kind I make myself with milk, sugar, vanilla, and that powdered baking chocolate.

Morning all, I did talk to Ben last night, tho he was out of it, will see what today brings.

After finding out this was set for single coil I wouldn't mind getting one of the Magma's either

1403370342716-1772171700.jpeg

Glad you got to talk to our hubby Nancy, I hope he gets over all of this, and can come home soon.

Yeah, the Magma is one of the best RDAs out there!

I'm one of those who uses things until they are completely worn out. I guess because for us, it's a necessity. I still vape all of those bad gas station juices until they are gone, and I keep all the parts from my old egos and things in case I can use them later to fix something else.

Maybe that's why I have so little room in my tiny house!

It is so true! You have to prove it with the empty hands in the air and than a few minutes later, you have to prove it again! Love the "baroo" tilted head looks I would get when I would do this! I mentioned yesterday that my dog didn't really care about vaping and that it probably looked like smoking to him, and after so many years he was likely used to that and didn't equate it with food - but this reminded me of a funny thing with my cousin's dog and vaping.

Every time she opened a bottle of juice her doggy would jump on her and try to get his face right in there. She came up with an ingenious solution. She filled a juice bottle with ammonia. She opened it to the same reaction of her dog jumping up and trying to get at the bottle, but when he smelled the ammonia fumes he turned his head and made a funny face with his upper lip raising to bare his tip teeth (this is how she described it to me). A couple more times and he never came near when she got her juices out again. She made a conditioned response and did it without hurting or harming. Ingenious!

I have to show the dogs empty hands as well, seems they dont trust you and think your holding back

Actually, the reason I can get all that crafty stuff done is because I do it with my mother when I am up at her house, and during the day when we are at the shop. I wish I had more time to do the things I need to do at the house though!

I've cracked tanks from juice too. It was the old clearos I had when I first started vaping that cracked. Now I buy glass whenever possibe, and save the plastic for the "safe" juices. I've also gotten juice from two ECF companies, where the juice had actually eaten through the bottles before they even got to me. I sure hope those two companies changed their bottles.

This is the way I look at vaping too. For me, even those days where everything with my vape is kind of difficult, like leaking and gurgling, I can still vape effectively enough to not need cigs. That is the whole thing for me. As I learn more and get better things, vaping gets easier and less fiddly, but there are still issues that I deal with. I have always had a taste issue where a flavor tastes really good for a few minutes and than I lose most of my ability to taste it for a while - it is like it is muted. This still goes on to this day and I just deal with it by switching flavors up or just being happy enough with the muted flavor.

I'm just happy that I have my own way of vaping that is effective for me.

I build and use clearos and tanks. I guess it goes to what you are doing as to which you use. being outside most of the time, clearos and tanks are used while inside, it depends on how I am feeling but normally, I do both or really all of them, including RTAs.

I don't think I will ever not use clearos/tanks or just drip or use RTAs.

AGAIN, LOTS TO DO WITH HOW i USE THEM AND WHY i HAVE MORE THAN ONE SET UP READY TO GO.

darn caplocks.

As some know I have at least 5 or more set ups ready to go and change flavors (which I really don't taste what most do, due to the taste buds still MIA after 50 years of smoking) very often, which is why I have different set ups ready to go. if I am going to sit and watch a movie or read a book, I will have some mods, spinners, Vamo and box troll all within reach while I read or watch a movie. if I am at the puter, or just messing around I will have 3 or 4 drippers ready to use with juices close by to drip.

But then, I like the change ups of different flavors and not just one or two for a day. I guess I vape like I smoked, for the enjoyment and alot.

The one thing I have found out with vaping, there is no set way to do it but really, anyway you want as long as you enjoy it.....

So using my older clearos and tanks or using the newer stuff, it's all good as long as I stay of the cigs.

mmm, so once again, I go off on a rambling post.

Woops.....didn't think about that........ yeah better not!! Should we remove our links?

no, not a problem! :)

Still trying to figure out what to do with those nice heavyweight boxes that RDAs and RTAs come in. I may end up covering them with pretty papers and trying to sell them as gift boxes. Since most of them either have lift off tops, or flip up tops, you can't put them together as a unit, and use them for storage easily.
