Well, I obviously came in on the end of that one...

Y'know, even with the other thread - which I've been to and have subscribed to - I'm seriously gonna miss this thread. More good info and advice exchanged here than most other threads I've been to combined.

Bruce and Kathi, my hats - I have 4, an Aussie, a tophat, a pork pie, and a natural wool hand-spun and crocheted toque - are off to you.

Everyone else - thanks for the ride and I'll see you on the flip side.

G'night...

Who am I kidding, I'm staying up to wait for Cactus Claus...

After reading yours and Bruce's posts, I realized that maybe there are still some vendors who don't have the high amp batteries. I'm so used to ordering all my batteries from Bruce, that I just assumed everyone only sold the good ones now.

Maybe my answer wasn't a good one.

Oh well, we have a saying in Maine about what assume does, but I can't say it on ECF. :)
Well, I think Slow got his answer. The thing is, a battery with a 10A rating is fine for a regulated device, provided it cannot sub-ohm and limits its voltage to 5 volts--like equipment from a year or two ago. Many vendors still sell such devices and, thus, carry batteries that may not be sufficient for the new sub-ohming era in which we live.

"net neutrality"

Lets just say, I miss the early 90s internet before the Corps and such took over. it was a fun, informative place. where else could you find a step by step instructions for bomb making and how to bake a chocolate marble cake. AOL, let you see their world but no further, it was a portal, but real internet providers let you see the real WWW, (world wide web). Before voice, Youtube and real Government monitor and mining of your information.. So it took half a day to upload a 2 minute clip of music. You could make your own pages,(geocities was one), newsfeeds and chatrooms for any subject or imaginations. A real wild west back then. "net neutrality" is really a government over reach of of a once free internet.... No matter how they spin it, the internet of old is long gone.

ok, old man rant over.

I spared you my thoughts on what it could mean and for who, why no or yes....
Ah, Tick, that was not the old Internet... that was just the old World Wide Web. Before html and browsers there was Arpanet, and before that there were BBS's which ran on computers at peoples homes (kind of like a computer version of ham radio) where one could interact much like we do on the forum, but with each user calling in individually (unless the system had multiple phone lines).

Well, I was just popping in while getting the kids to bed. Thanks to Bruce and Kathi and everyone who made this contest so little like a contest (and that's a good thing!). Good night, everyone--and good luck!

My sentiments exactly"...........it was a great time with knowledge flying all over the place. I looked forward to the nightly discussions. Thank you

OMG, I discovered we have WEtv on our cable. They have the old Abbott and Costello show from 1952 on every morning. Guess what I DVR daily now. Nothing is better than old school comedy. it's funny but they were the original rappers. Put some rap music to some of their routines of fast talking rhymes and see what I mean....
Lots of other great old shows and some not so great or ones I didn't like much. Remember the Old Route 66, the Naked City, Mister Lucky etc....

ok, lots of smoking in those old shows, I wonder what some of those character would have looked like, vaping on a mod or Box mod?

kewl!! I live with my SIL she has dish, I'll have to see if they have it.

What surprised me was how much easier it was to coil on my micro-screwdriver. All the springiness was gone and the coils stayed in place where wrapped.

I did 5 wraps, and it came out 1.2Ω, a few tenths lower than I usually use but serviceable. Wicked it with ecowool and a tiny piece of rayon underneath the coil to lessen leaks. Vapes very nicely without and special torching or compressing, overall a success...:vapor:

this is what amazed me too!!! I have bad hands, but it was so much easier to wrap and make it stay. Next time I need to use a towel on my leg or something though. The pen kept wanting to slide on my sweat pants instead of roll hehehe glad you tried it and glad you liked it. I told Danny I'd been sharing his vid all over ECF.....he said he wondered why his views had shot up by about 50 real quick

Brain not up to math today. Didn't sleep well last night because the security alarm kept going off.

Had planned on cleaning bottles and making larger bottles of some I did at 10 ml test flavors but that needs to wait until my head is working again.

I have all my DIY flavors on a spreadsheet with flavor, maker, and where bought. Now want to go back and find suggested usage rates for them and add onto the sheet. That isn't happening today either but amazes me as to how much time that list saves me when looking for a flavor either when making juices or when out and need a re-order.

I wanna be you if I grow up!!!

ok, I guess its time to answer the math quiz.
I had mentioned on another attempt to relate the equasion to vape... your all gonna kick yourselves or your going to say how silly but...

6+3=3 think nicotine  < Edit oh wait I flubbed that one up a little bit... more like 4.5 depending on X

1+1=.5 think ohms/coil

get it, got it, good! Ha Ha!

you've got to know your vape math

dunno if I'll kick myself, but might kick you!!! j/k First you make me do math......and it's freaky deaky math.....then you gimme the wrong answer and I'm trying to figger dat out before I read that it was da wrong answer...... :glare: lol Muah!

Yeah, I messed up the USB port in my E-Mech. It was plugged in, and my husband knocked it off the desk, and now the USB port doesn't work. It's okay though, I just take the batteries out and charge them in the charger. I wouldn't be able to do that with my MVP.

Zactly!!

It has been another great contest. I think the most fun I have had in a contest actually. Thanks Bruce and Kath for the fun time... It was great to share with all the people who entered and get to know a lot of people both new ECFers and long time ones.

well put and I agree a million percent!!!

My son said Okinawa is beautiful ... He was stationed there when he first went into the Air Force. At thr time, he was single and enjoying the whole ambience of the island..

I have a good friend who lives in Japan. She was an exchange student in HS and we got to be like sisters. I did get to see her about 10 yrs after we graduated when she came back to the states. If I ever win the lottery I'll go see her!! so much beauty in that country.

Ok....page 40 is done......onto the next! lol

I don't DIY, but I have tinkered with my e-liquid. I had some 100% VG that I couldn't use in my clearo because it was too thick. I ended up asking for double the nic, mixing it 50/50 with some PG, and adding some menthol drops and some Peppermint drops. It turned out well! I would love to take the time and figure out the correct steps to take to DIY. I'm sure peppermint is not a super hard liquid to make. Only criteria I have, I want it strong and pepperminty fresh!

Other than adding your own nic.......seems to me like you just did figure out the correct steps to take to DIY!! You added pg/vg and flavor. Only thing left is adding nic. It can get much more complicated with big recipes, or it can be just that simple!!

Ok so not sure how to post this but,,,
Wifey was at the bar having drinks with her coworkers. One of them asked her what she had and she told them " a ---- e cig wanna try" (the name kinda reassembles a sound a cat makes ) he did and the absent mindedly blurted out he tasted her kitty... The whole table died laughing

lmao!! I'm sure Piggy and all of em had plenty to keep that going!! thanks for the giggle, and hi to piggy.

Wohoo,i will soon be an official cactus esmokes customer haha.Set up an account and started adding to my cart.I have to wait until monday for my bank to clear up a screwed up atm transaction, but as soon as they credit my account back,i'll get to place my first order.Going with the subtank and a sigeili mini as long as they are in stock.I figure i have alot going in march,my birthday is the 7th and my 1 year vaping anniversary is the 19th,so the mod will be my birthday present to myself and the subtank an anniversary present to myself haha.

Awesome!!! Happy early 1 yr of vaping!!!! and early birthday!!

off the vape topic but these experiments are good to see now and then
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CwCvpEMEJU

that just broke my heart!! Can't believe that boy was out there for 2 hrs like that. Often it seems those that have the most do the least. And ones that have the least have the biggest hearts.

Yeah, if it wasn't for ECF, I probably wouldn't still be vaping either. With only convenience stores and cigarette shops around here, I wouldn't have ever found anything decent. :)

Me either....not just for the info on devices, (we had NO b&m's here then), but also for the support. It amazes me when I see ECF noobs making their first posts and say they've been vaping for a year or two and now they're using mechs and sub ohming, lol

No idea what the net neutrality thing is...... but just turned on the news. lol

That's quite an accomplishment!!!! You don't crave nicotine since you dropped the level so fast? I am at 12mg and I don't think I will be going lower anytime soon. The guy at the vape shop gave me a 6mg to try but I haven't opened it up yet.

Congratulations!!! You are #2 :toast:

You get an iStick 20. :) I'll PM you in a minute!!!
