A question from a noob about e liquid. I think my juice is turning on me. I bought some premix and after a week it seemed to get a strong perfumy vapor to it. The flavor was barely a hint of what it was when I first got it. I then mixed up some myself and hit the most awesome sweet spot, a thick vapor full of the essence of tobacco, not so much of a throat hit but a good warm feeling going down and a good taste as well on the exhale. After about two weeks, it did the same thing as did a couple 5ml premixed liquids, got all perfumy and did not taste good at all. I didn't let it get hot or expose it to the sun. We were heading out for a week at the beach and I loaded up. I prefilled some new and also used 510 cartos, and new and used ego cartos. I was able to keep the initial set, made for the drive, topped off and they were so tasty. I don't know what I am doing wrong. With the change in taste, I am almost afraid to use it.
Any suggestions?

When I read your post, what I understand is that something changes within a week or two. :?:

PG, VG and nicotine should be perfectly stable at room temperature even when exposed to a reasonable amount of light (at least within a week or two!).

Does your flavoring base contains 20-50% alcohol? Most of the flavoring used for vaping, is water and PV or VG based for stability and health. The alcohol would evaporate within this amount of time...

Thanks for the replies. I seem to have trouble with either my mix or "store bought". One variable is I am a diabetic and I am wondering if I may get more or less sensitive to the ingredients. I don't want to mention the name of the vendor, they seem to be great folks to deal with. I don't think it has anything to do with there products.

Hello,
Could be the flavoring is getting too warm....Fruit flavors tend to lose flavor if left out in the open where they are exposed to sunlight and warmer temps. I have a case for the flavors I take to work and then place them in the refridgerator at night.....I know some say not to do this, but it has worked for me for over 9 months for all my flavors.

:)

Many junices change flavors over the first couple of weeks. Read thru your vendor's forum and see if anyone else note a change a in flavor. I know IMO BackWood Brew and FreedomSmokeUSA both change flavor as the components in the flavorings "mature" in the base. I loved hypnotic mist and bought a ton of it - turns out I like the unmatured version lol, not the matured version.

another important thing to remember is to shake the juice bottle well - the flavorings and the base (pg & vg) benefit from being mixed well.

If the vapor production has changed it could be that the juice wasn't mixed well enough or that your atty needs to be cleaned or your carto needs to be cleaned or refilled.

And always feel free to PM or email the juice vendor. We have several great vendors here who want your vaping experience to RoCk! Maybe they can shed some light for you.

Thanks for info folks. I will try and keep this real short. Get new stuff, store mix and my mix. The Cuban Supreme and Virginian were exactly what I was looking for, strong tobacco flavor, no bite to it, just flavor, very nice. I also had some store mix of the Virginian Blend, USA Mix, Turk and USA Mix. They all tasted good, vaped good to. All of a sudden about ten days later I got some out and ...hello...thick plumes of disgusting vape, perfumey, terrible taste. This has happened every time. Then I go back and try and figure out the whys and whats, maybe whens. Then the next day they seem better and then better. The flavor has matured and is still not as good as new but ok. So I am looking for a reason. Is it the maturing? Maybe I am vaping during a not so good time in the change? Is it me, glucose problem, numbers off? Thanks again for the input.

Most of the juices that taste funky to me, are at their funkyest when i first get them...then they get better tasting with age...
Some flavors change dramatically, some are more subtle....I have gotten a few tho, that I thought tasted ok at first, but after a while, I didn't like them as much...it can happen I guess...
