Ok we know how bad smoking is and that it causes copd, emphazema, lung cancer. All of us know how addicting it is. If vaping is not for you have you tried dissolvables, or discrete snus, I actually think I could quit vaping just using snus but I will not be finding out soon as I am stocked for the vaping holocost.

:oops:awww! thanks everyone! you really know how to make a gal feel at home! that's what I love (and have missed) about this forum.
I only cough when I vape so I assume that I'm experiencing a sensitivity of some type. I've tried many flavors and both PG and VG so I'm not sure what the sensitivity could be. I hope it's just a seasonal allergy type thing (hey, stranger things have happened ) I have thought about snus but I really would prefer vaping. I know myself well enough to realize that I need a substitute for the whole smoking experience, not just nic substitution which is probably why the patch and gum never worked for me.
I'll pop in more often - I really missed everyone here - the excitement, the caring and friendship!
I'm going to look at this as a set back, not a failure! (thanks FP!!)
Hugs to all!!

Diphenhydramine is the active ingredient there. Same as most OTC sleeping pills.

Anywho, make sure it's not counterindicated by any other medications you might be taking.

Also, do you have any other concomitant indications? Sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose, swelling, itching, hives, ...

There are other types of allergic reactions that a simple antihistiminergic-class drug won't address.

I'm no doctor, and this isn't medical advice in any way, or any kind of endorsement. If you think you have an allergic reaction to something, you should stop using it and consult with your general practitioner who should probably refer you to a specialist...

Thanks Adrenalynn. Only thing I take is OTC - tylenol, advil, etc. After 6 months on antibiotics for lyme, I can't stomach the idea of meds. I've had environmental allergies for a long time (no itching or hives thank goodness!). Went through the injection stage and find the same amount of relief with sudafed and mucinex when I get 'clogged up'

No Taryn, never cigarette free. I did get down to half of the amount. The cough is just like when most first started vaping or switching cigg brands, but it isn't going away. When I first started vaping the cycle of vape, cough lasted about 2 hours then was gone completely. All of a sudden right after Christmas, it started again but it won't go away. I've tried lower nic, no nic just VG juice, VG juice with loran flavorings.

Yeah, I got annoyed when they wouldn't sell it to me 'cause my license was a month expired (and it takes ~90 days to get the replacement in CA these days). So I tossed a bit of a hissy-fit and went off to another pharmacy. Seems these guys are sharing their databases these days, 'cause they saw me comin'. I ended-up "black listed" at least in the Sacramento Valley...

They just have to look like they're "doing something". You'd have to be a small-time idiot to be running a .... lab in production volume by racking the shelves clean at wallyworld.

If I wanted to do it, even with my chemistry as my weak subject, I certainly wouldn't be slowed by silly OTC controls on cold medicines...

the pharmacist at one of my local grocery stores has it out for me, because i am lazing along on my GA license still, haven't got my VA one since moving, and he's -convinced- i'm some kind of 'trouble.' it's absolutely bizarre. i... shop elsewhere for my medicines now. there's a CVS across the street, where i once made a joke to one of the techs about the allergy meds being controlled and he said, "it's the wheezy ones that always getcha." so that's my 99% irrelevant contribution to this thread.
