I've had my eye on a k100 - but i don't know the first thing about mechanical mods.

I currently use my Evic with an affinity tank and boge 510 cartos. Never used a drip-tip or rebuildable atomizer, not sure i know what im doing..

after getting the k100, what else will i need to buy to make it function? I was told that i could use my evic to test the resistance on a rebuildable atomizer - any advice? thanks!

well if your new, read up on the dangers of sub ohm coils. having said that, you can still use a mechanical with a 1.5ohm coil. i recommend getting a RBA like the octopus to test your coil building abilities. once you have mastered that you can try your hand at sub ohm coils. the octopus can be built in sub ohm as well. you can then branch into genesis style rba's and go from there. use a 2cent fuse on all your mechanicals for some added protection. read up on amp limits and resistances. need to be sure you dont draw more amps then what your batt is rated for. if you do, well . things could hurt you and others. stick with building 1.3-1.5 ohm coils until you learn the ins and outs.

Just built my first genesis/mech setup! WoooHooooo!!! Sorry, nothing really to add to the discussion. Just a newb who's completely psyched!!! Do you guys remember ur first hit with an rba/mech? I imagine I'll remember this moment for years to come.

Got so exited I put it on YouTube. Come to think of it, it might add something to the discussion...if anyone wants to see how a K101 hits on an Aga T-2.

OK, gotta go look into a Poldiac now (with maybe a Cobra atty). WoooooHooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
