Lots of very good information here already but thought I'd add my own just for the heck of it
I had tried some of the cheep gear as well (haven't most of us) and found it a great waste.
After many months of research and with a bit of help from other ECF members I finally committed to buying an E-Go T system from HealthCabin.com. That was almost 9 months ago and I haven't regretted it one single day as it was the tipping point that let me drop the analogs for good after close to 40 years as a smoker.
The setup I selected was a bit high end with 2 1000mah batteries but after the dismal results of the cheep gear I intended to do it right. I also added in a 1000mah passthru (USB).
The only problem I have experienced was a bit of minor leakage after a tank had been used for several months straight. This was easily cured with the more rubbery replacement caps for the tanks and made refilling the tanks much easier as well.
As I am a home body for the most part so I almost never use the regular batteries. I attach the passthru to my lanyard when I'm up and about (last almost the full day it needed) or taking short trips into town and just plug it back in whenever I'm back at my computer or favorite reading chair. Can't recommend a good passthru enough, no fussing with battery chargers or anything, just plug it back in when it's convenient and you never to interrupt your vaping.
AS for the cost of atomizers I have been fairly lucky to find them on sale in the $7-$9 usually, and I buy several months worth at a time. I am looking at the new eGo type C atomizers (replaceable core) for my next purchase as they seem to be consistently at around the $5 mark but would like to hear some feedback about them first.
As for where to get juice, I confess I decided to learn to mix my own, I like controlling everything from the flavor to the strength to the balance of pg/vg in my mix. I does take a bit of experimenting but I find the results very rewarding. I you want to go this route eventually I'd recommend OneStopDIYshop.com, they are one of the most helpful shops I have had the pleasure of doing business with (especially for new DIYers).
Hope this information is helpful
