<3 Some beer but I keep it simple, some Miller Lite and I am good to go. And the occasional warm Guinness when it's available bars love to chill it around here:( I'm a simple man with simple tastes I guess, but it's how I roll. Speaking of, time to hit the fridge my retro can is feeling kinda empty.

Enjoy that Miller Lite. If it's what makes you happy, brother, there's nobody here that wants to impede on that happiness.:D

In curious about this Guiness Blonde. Anyone try it?

I haven't tried it. I'm hoping someone will buy some and offer me one.:D I have never been a huge fan of Guinness; although, I've never turned one down when one was offered. With the craft beer that is being brewed around America, Guinness is a common brew... nothing special. my 2 cents.

Guinness is the Dry Irish Stout that all other Dry Irish Stouts are judged by.........Irish Mother's Milk, nectar of the Gods!!!

Actually the Guinness brewed in Ireland is much lower alcohol than what is served in the U.S. ...it doesn't have as strong of an alcohol taste and is smoother. A common brew!!! OMG....

p.s. I really like Guinness....:2cool:....j/k

Guinness is crap in my opinion. I hear the one in Ireland is great. But over here it's just a watered down stout. I don't even like stouts and I can tell there are much better American stouts out there.

Which of the three styles of stouts do you find objectionable? It may be the style and not the brew you don't like.

let's try to bring this thread alive again.:)

On tonight's menu I will be serving up Troegs, Mad Elf Ale. This is a seasonal ale that is only offered Oct.-Dec. It comes in at 11% ABV and warms the palate with a combination of cherries, honey, and chocolate malts that delivers a gentle fruit essence with subtle spices. Yes, it's quite delicious. It's going to be difficult to top last week's choice of Dogfish Head, Palo Santo Maroon, but no worries.

I always thought that was about the same. Most of the Guinness you get here is the states is Guinness Draught which is 4.1%. Then you have Extra Stout which is 5% and less popular. In North America, these are actually brewed by Labatt.

The only Guinness I find worth drinking is Foreign Extra Stout but it's very hard to find.

Yay for pumpkin beer! Ichabod is good. Smutty Nose is good. Blue Mountain Spooky is AMAZING, aged in bourbon casks and brewed with pumpkin and cocoa nibs. I'm a craft beer drinker and am lucky enough to have a fantastic "fancy beer store" in my town, so October is a whirlwind "try every pumpkin beer I possibly can" month. Right now I'm drinking Southern Tier Warlock, which basically tastes like you took a Guinness and a slice of pumpkin pie and whirled them together in a blender. They have another one, Pumking, that lots of people I know swear by, but to me it's OK but tastes a little like a Yankee Candle.

did someone say pumpkin beer?:D I haven't had any for several weeks and decided to pick up a couple 4 packs of Dogfish Head Punkin Ale for tonight. Yes, it is the best pumpkin brew and beer advocate agrees with me. It's amazing it is still around at this time; dogfish must have brewed more this year.

What's up Stosh?:D

Pumpkin beer ?!?!? shudder..... .
I'm stocked up with enough Palaner Octoberfest to last me until the Anchor Christmas special comes out....

Meh. More for me. :)

Sgt. Pepper, I haven't been able to get the Dogfish Head. I've heard it's the best of the best, and my local store stocks some Dogfish Head varieties, but they don't order the pumpkin beer. :(
