Begging for help. Nicotine base help

I have PG and VG with no nicotine levels. I have 100% nicotine liquid.
I am trying to use DIY calculators but I can't seem to figure out what my nicotine base is. I can't use zero as a base if I want any target level of nicotine.

I NEVER INTENDED TO QUIT SMOKING.
I smoked 3 packs a day. I tried vaping for one night. I forgot to smoke the whole next day...I HAVENT HAD A CIGARETTE SINCE. I will save over $6000 in one year!

You plug 100% into the nicotine content of your nicotine base. Then you put the % you want for the finished product in the target nicotine spot.

First off, what you have is 100mg nicotine (10%). 100% would be lethal just uncapping it. A good nic level to start at is 24mg so use that for your target level. You can always make a batch or two at lower levels to find your comfort zone. Make sure you read all the info in the DIY forum before you start.

Please make sure what you have is actually 100 MG/ML nicotine base, not 100% nicotine. As TinyTimberGal said, if it is 100% nic it would be lethal just uncapping it.

I use the ejuice Me Up calculator you can find here. It's a pretty popular calc program and it has a How To aid you can access by clicking on 'Read Me' and then 'How To'. Any questions, just ask.

And since you clearly have little experience with DIY, please be very careful. Your nicotine (100 mg/ml; 10%) is potent enough to harm your skin on contact or poison somebody (pet, child, unsuspecting roommate).

I suggest you dilute your 100mg/ml base to a more user-friendly 50mg/ml (by mixing it it equal proportions with PG, VG or PG/VG blend) and work with that using gloves and a calculator.

My advice is as others have said- Be Careful and know what level of nic you actually have. It should be marked on the bottle. I never keep high level nic in that state, I always dilute to 30 nic since that is a safe working level. I only vape 12 and 6 nic so I dilute it down from there. Work with a safe level that is not poisonous. Wear gloves and keep it way form your face when diluting it. bnrk

+1. Dilute it all now. It's gotta be done at some point anyway. If the concentration involves a "100", it's almost certainly 100mg/mL like everyone is supposing (higher than that is hard to get outside of a laboratory/research setting).

If you want to keep the ability to play with the PG/VG concentration later, at least cut it in half. You'll have to cut it more later but you'll be storing it in a form that isn't as dangerous. You could accidentally vape 50mg/mL and be fine.

And please, please read up some more before you get going. No one here means to be condescending, but nicotine is scary. People have reported getting liquid far more or less concentrated than they ordered. People have asked for 24mg/mL (ready-to-vape) juice and gotten juice that's downright dangerously concentrated. It happens. Be sure you've diluted it enough. Springing the $ for a simple test kit is HIGHLY recommended for anyone doing DIY, especially if you're starting with concentrated base.

you can get safety glasses or goggles from wizard labs for under $3. a good idea if you work with 100mg nic base, also if you make menthol flavoring from crystals, they are very brittle and particles can easily come flying in your face when crushing them to dissolve in liquid.

use gloves when mixing and wash immediately when high nic liquids make contact with your skin. if you aren't confident about diy study up a lot before attempting. until then you can find awesome deals on pre-made liquids almost every day in the deals and steals thread.

I never feel condescended to when I am asking for help in an area I know very little about. I am going my friends lab which has a cover box for noxious gasses. I will be suited up before cutting the nic level by half with PG . I am so grateful for all of the fair warnings. I am working verrry slowly with teensy amounts. Thank you all for such immediate responses. The forum saves lives!

I accidentally quit smoking 3 packs a day! My friend insisted I borrow his ego with a tank of 24mg @70/430. I threw out my left over smokes when I realized I hadnt had a cigarette for the entire day!
Been clean for 4 weeks and saving a ton of money!

Good for you! Is that the ratio your looking for- 24mg. 70/30? We can help you with that. Are you using any flavoring, or unflavored?

Well yea, it's better not to give advice than jump all over someone that may be using incorrect terminology. We won't know that unless we (not directed at you) give them a chance to explain what they do have.

Yeah I understand where you're coming from and it's sometimes a tough call IMO. Just my personal choice and opinion without insulting/ flaming OP.

Just in the interest of safety, even 100mg nicotine base commands respect and should be handled with appropriate equipment and technique. There is a DIY forum here at ECF that can help, not the New Member Forum.

Are you telling us that you are indeed in possession of 100% nicotine??? If so, how did you even acquire it?????

Or are you taking your 10% (100mg/ml) to a lab? If so, that's an overkill. You don't need to get suited and use a lab to work with 10% nic.

That said, this is a third or fourth post (in the last couple of weeks) by a new vaper asking for advice how to handle 100% nicotine. I didn't even think a civilian could get 100% nicotine.
