Are you telling us that you are indeed in possession of 100% nicotine??? If so, how did you even acquire it?????

Or are you taking your 10% (100mg/ml) to a lab? If so, that's an overkill. You don't need to get suited and use a lab to work with 10% nic.

That said, this is a third or fourth post (in the last couple of weeks) by a new vaper asking for advice how to handle 100% nicotine. I didn't even think a civilian could get 100% nicotine.

I've been getting some through a Lab BUT I don't touch it and it goes straight to the Lab. I believe many are mistaking the purity of the nicotine juice rather then the potency/ mg IMHO.

Just does not seem possible for someone with NO knowledge of Nicotine Hazards to get a hold of Full strength(99.9%) Nicotine. It takes a ton of paperwork just to sell/transport/purchase in that concentration.

More likely we have a rather non-concerned noob - very little attention to own Thread.............or............
There is a spoof working on another article on the Dangers of Vaping.

Best not to give more advice - beyond WARNING without better OP participation.

I'm out:)

Yep lottsa of n00bs posting lately about DIY juice. I've decided to refrain from giving advice as it's obvious most have not properly researched the subject. Particularly troubling considering ECF has an entire subforum devoted to DIY.

Just in the interest of safety, even 100mg nicotine base commands respect and should be handled with appropriate equipment and technique. There is a DIY forum here at ECF that can help, not the New Member Forum.

Possibly Mods should be automatically moving these threads to the DIY Forum IMHO. There's just too much to learn and be aware of when DIY'ing juice. I've read a few posts here and it really is quite scary.

but with 3 posts the op would not be able to reply to his/her own thread if it is moved out of this forum ...........

At least there would be feedback and just maybe OP might read some of the stickies. Or maybe OP could say Hello to a couple of members?

agreed on all points ;)

still, things have changed drastically since the ecf guidelines were developed. were most new members joined before they bought in the early days, now we find them with vv mods and, let's hope, 100mg/ml nicotine base ........

Whats the normal nicotine level in E juice

It varies per the user. It's sold in mg per ml (mg/ml). There's 1000 ml in a liter (a volume measurement). And 1000 mg per gram (a weight measurement). So 100 mg/ml juice is 10% nic (because 100 is 10% of 1,000 and their relative mass is close enough). *

Normally you see ranges from 0 to even as high as 36 mg/ml. Although the majority are 24mg/ml or lower.

As has been pointed out by wiser folk, leaving off the ml part is confusing to some, since they often confuse the mg and take it as a percentage (as if 100mg was 100% and it's not...it's 10%...see above.) Using 100mg/ml would be more descriptive. I'm going to try to do that from now on.

Also, don't forget OP.....when you cut it down MIX WELL. If you have access to a lab...use the stirring thing.

* = I'm not a chemist so grain of salt and do your own research.

Agree also. Have never seen so many new vapers pick the Vamo as their first PV and the large collection of vape gear some amass so quickly. But it's all good IMO.

but how prudent is it to keep them out of certain forums till they have the post count?

Problem is vapers nowadays move forward at breakneck speed and part of that "frenzy" is brought on by the manufacturers. Sad to see people buying a juice delivery device for $26.00 and a month+ later it's selling for less than $15.00. I'm sure when you began vaping life/ selection was so easy. In my day it was either a carto or carto+ tank. I know a vendor that just took delivery of 1000 Vivi Novas cuz they're so popular.

0-36 mg/ml. Many vendors don't even offer 36mg/ml because they consider it too high. 0-24mg/ml is the norm.

In the last 6 months many Vendors have stopped selling 10% Flavorless Nicotine. Even HealthCabin based in China sells a max of 4.8% now. Impossible to get 10% up here in CanKnuckleHeadLand. Wonder what Bob and Doug would have to say?

I have PG and VG with no nicotine levels. I have 100% nicotine liquid.
I am trying to use DIY calculators but I can't seem to figure out what my nicotine base is. I can't use zero as a base if I want any target level of nicotine.

I NEVER INTENDED TO QUIT SMOKING.
I smoked 3 packs a day. I tried vaping for one night. I forgot to smoke the whole next day...I HAVENT HAD A CIGARETTE SINCE. I will save over $6000 in one year!
unbelievable!

I never feel condescended to when I am asking for help in an area I know very little about. I am going my friends lab which has a cover box for noxious gasses. I will be suited up before cutting the nic level by half with PG . I am so grateful for all of the fair warnings. I am working verrry slowly with teensy amounts. Thank you all for such immediate responses. The forum saves lives!:D

I accidentally quit smoking 3 packs a day! My friend insisted I borrow his ego with a tank of 24mg @70/430. I threw out my left over smokes when I realized I hadnt had a cigarette for the entire day!
Been clean for 4 weeks and saving a ton of money!

"100% nicotine"
..."in an area I know very little about" ?

These posts give me great worry ...if this is a mistake and you meant 100mg/ml...even more so.

People should not attempt DIY until they are really familiar with what they have.
