As the holidays approach I seem to find it hard to buy for certain people on my list... One of which is my best friend, we used to smoke together until I left the habit for vaping (though i do occasionally cheat :X). My friend has alway loved my pv when he's tried and as really wanted to get into it. I figured purchasing one for Christmas may be a great opportunity to get him to quit or AT LEAST reduce his current smoking habit. I currently own a selection of more complex mods and haven't used a 510 or ego type of pv in a long time. What i need to know is what is the best model of 510 or ego I could buy my friend to get him started on his journey? I need something that is going to be pretty simple but reliable. Price really isn't an issue here, I've heard great things about the Volt and of course the ego is many peoples go to. Just remember I am looking for the best simple pv to get a beginner to start on. :) Thanks for your help and thanks for reading!

Has he shown interest in one of yours over the others? Do you know if he wants a cig look alike or maybe would prefer a box mod? Because what I found to be the simplest to use and that I like really has been my reo mini bottom feeder. But not knowing your friend I have no idea what he may like or what he wouldn't touch.

If they want a cig stye E-cig, from what I have watched and read about them, either a Bloog max fusion, or a volt would probably be the best bet. They have surprising power for a cig style.

But if cig style isnt as important.. then I would say an eGo Twist. That way they can get a lot of oomph for a new comer and be able to use more of the most popular toys us vapers enjoy these days.

As gifts, generally a bad idea.... unless they are expecting it or have expressed an interest. Since your friend liked it... maybe OK.

Thing is, a lot of us have even given stuff away and still get mixed results. People have to want to quit smoking, or nothing works. That's the sad news. The good news is your friend is interested.

Usual starter stuff....510's, or volt or bloog. Sometimes eGo.

I gave two people Ego's for gifts. Neither one of them use it because they say its too much fiddling around with the cartomizer. I suspect their desire to stop smoking was not that strong and perhaps I was forcing the not smoking thing on them by buying the gift. A lesson learned for me --no more e-cigs gifts.

If you do buy one for your friend keep it simple. I have a mod called an iDrink from Century 21 Smoking and its very simple. Its a bottom feeder and no fiddling around just give the bottle an occassional squeeze. It doesn't get much easier than that. Its gives a good strong throat hit too.

I've only been vaping for a little over a month now after being a moderate smoker for almost 20 years. I tried the cigarette looking ones but it just wasnt enough vapor and TH so I got a Ego Twist 1000 mah with a couple tanks and clearos and I couldnt be happier. Its a great beginner setup you cant go wrong. Best Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com has nice ego twist starter kits, thats where I got mine. Not sure ho much you want to spend though. Mine was 90.00 but the kit came with [2] 1000 mah twist batteries, [2] smoktech redux rebuildable clearomizers, [10] replacement wick/atty heads for the clearos, [1] usb charger cable w/ wall plug adapter, [1] empty 5 mil drip bottle and a nice zippered Ego case.
