Newbie here! Just wondering, what is the current type of e-cig you're using and what are your thoughts on it? There are so many types out there and I'm curious which aspects appealed to you when choosing what you use.

I've tried many cig-a-likes and always ended up back with analog within 48 hours wondering why I was the only one who seemed to think those were a horrible tasting alternative. I've been much happier with my eGo! I've been pleasantly surprised with the fruity flavors.

ego's like the Twist and Spinner were great at getting me to quit smoking. I vaped like a fiend the first coupla weeks, so I did upgrade everything fairly quickly. I failed myself on the cigalikes back in 2009. They've come a long way since then, and better juice too, but I'm hardcore and need more power, more nic, better delivery, etc. Wait until you get an APV with an AFC topper like the nautilus or Aerotank, even the Protanks. It gets better. good luck!

never tried the cig-like things, was tempted by all the commercials on tv but glad I stopped at a B&M.
Started off with a cheep 1100mA ego starter kit (battery, ce4, usb charger) and an evod tank
2 weeks later, picked up a 1100mA ego VV battery
2 weeks later, got a AGA-T2
Today I'm getting some more parts so I can work on a pipe mod I'm doing
Every upgrade helped in making the experience better but the one thing that helped me not look at analogs again was having a good tasting juice that encouraged me to stick with it.

Joye Ego batteries in various sizes both standard cable charge and usb passthroughs. Regulated 3.3 volts with 1.8 ohm attys for some juices... 3.7 unregulated and 2.2ohm attys with others. Joye CCs on top as they use the same atty I use in my Erolls (later) or iSmoka, EVOD, ARO or T3s mini toppers. For the ritual needs like substituting for the morning smokes, I use an Eroll with high mgs nic and any other time I'm I would normally reach for a smoke like when stressed. The Eroll uses the same atty as the Joye CC I use on my Ego batts so that's a plus because the iSmoka, EVOD and ARO are all proprietary with only the T3s accepting an EVOD (ProTank) atty but not the other way around.

Welcome ms.Michaeljoan!

Having started on V2 cig-a-likes (don't like any of their flavors) and made the step up to a C-Twist with CE-4 clearomizers and mini BCC clearomizers and now to a Sigelei V5 mod with a variety of glassomizers (mainly for home use....I take the eGo when Igo), I think you will find that the amazing journey through the e-juice universe will be of a far greater importance than the ultimate mod that looks like a Maglite flashlight with a pint jar sticking out of it. I've gotten to a place where I am happy with hardware (also, have a drip atomizer for trying new samples of juice flavors), and I have found some knockout flavors from different vendors, but am in search of the perfect peach and blueberry. I seem to have turned into a fruit-lover (preferably tropical in nature) and love the blends. I don't seem to care much for "dessert"-type juices. And to be honest, tobacco flavors are only three in my arsenal. They are 555, honey cured, and RY4.

An eGo twist would be my minimum recommendation, and get a few so you'll always have a fresh battery. Also, I seem to prefer bottom coils like a mini Protank 2 and the Aspire ET-S BDC, than top coils like the CE-4, etc. I don't like all the shoestrings in my device ;)

Enjoy your journey!

At this moment I'm enjoying my Aga T2 (getting some use out of it since it took me so long to get the hang of building it), but I have a few protank minis and evods at arms reach when I want to switch flavors, also have an iClear 30 filled with Hawk Sauce (what? he's vaping Hawk Sauce???). On the Aga I've got a MVP2 and on the IClear an ego c-twist.

Hello :) glad you found something that is working for you. I started with cigarette likes and used them for 2 &1/2 months. Used 900 mah eGo's for 7 & 1/2 months. Been using mods for 7 months now. An MVP V1 & a full size Provari. For the most part I use cartomizers and sometimes clearomizers. Did carto tanks and liked them, but quit using them :?: Not really sure why I quit using them. Just did
Not sure whats next. Thinking a feeder mod like a REO :) Plenty of stuff to try.

Right now (at work) I'm using my new MVP V2 with a Protank 2. I replace the Silica with cotton to get more vapor and flavor. This is a crap coil which is reading at 2.7 Ohms.

At home I used a Trident on a Nemesis with a sub Ohm micro coil with cotton.

Welcome to ECF. Just remember: As long as you aren't smoking, your set up is working.

I'm using an mvp2, a vamo, a lava tube 2.5, a saber touch, and a vmod. I love them all. The toppers I use are cargo tanks which I love because they are reliable. T3s they are nice little clearos. the vapage vmod attys for my vmod, they are great attys. And most recently I picked up a couple hh 357 attys, they are great the flavor I get is amazing from them.

It's an exploratory process of finding what works for you. I still haven't found the perfect setup or juice and I still smoke some. Not as much as I used to but I do. Working on that.

But I have a iTaste SVD and Lavatube 2.5 several ego batteries and just recently a provari. Toppers I have several iClear 30 tanks a ProTank 3 a iClear 30B a carto tank and I just ordered and AeroTank today. So yeah it's kinda a process. As for juice I have lots and still going through and finding things I like lots I don't like.

The state of things today compared to where it was several years ago is a world of difference and I'm glad to be returning to vaping. Now to just get my act together and commit more to it.

My opinion is that cig-a-likes are close to fraud.

I have some, I am using them in an attempt to wean myself off nicotine.

They are good for that, because discounting a few good ones, they are close to pointless.

In the UK, people see the likes of Leonardo di Caprio using ecigs. They equate this with Leonardo either having quit smoking or using them as a get-by between opportunites to smoke.

I am 99% sure, the celebrities who use cig-a-likes are quit able to afford the extortionate running costs and lack of efficacy in these products.

A study concluded that a 18mg/ml look-a-like e-cig produced 10% of the nicotine YIELD of a regular (non-lite/light) tobacco cigarette.
They are next to hopeless for anybody with a serious nicotine addiction.

10% - it's outrageous. That means when a "brand" promises you 30-40 cigarettes (in puffs) they don't tell you that is the same nicotine as just 3-4 cigarettes.

That's my take. Maybe I am mad. Maybe I just love good e-cigs. Who knows. :)

A couple (back ups are important) knock off ego got me off cigarettes. One died, one is still going, barely. I purchased an ego c Twist about a month in. It's still going, too. I use both of those at work. My main one now is an MVP.

Clearos - started out with the crappy CE4s, moved to a Protank 2 quickly. It's my main topper. I also use mini protanks and an Aro 2. I have Evods, though they're getting less use all the time, I prefer the glass of the protank and Aro 2. Much cleaner, more true taste.

I started rebuilding coils a month or more ago with silica. I've had a love/hate relationship with cotton, but we finally seem to be getting along well. Had to show it who's boss. I'm very happy with rebuilding.

I bought a knock off eGo vv2 and topped it with an EVOD. This thing is used daily and is still kicking. I have bought more tanks just to keep from having to clean one out every time I want to change flavors. Now I have tanks for each flavor I like ! The important thing with any purchase or upgrade is that as long as it keeps you away from the analogs, it's worth the time AND MONEY!
