I'm a very mmmm...... budget minded person (so tight I squeak). Doing all I can to fight of the shineyitis. Simply cant afford to follow all the latest and greatest 'must haves'. What keeps me happy?

1. My 'woodie' eGrip V1: My very first PV. Walked into that first vape shop with a $90 budget to get started. walked out with my eGrip, a few extra heads and two 30 ml juices and a little change in my pocket. Still lovin it after adding the rba base. Rotate daily between the eGrip and my other RTA.

2. Aspire ET Clearo w/BVC heads: Realizing I needed a backup I bought this w/650mah ego the day after my eGrip. Was totally disappointed with it at first. Thought it to be a waste of my money. A few days later I decided to focus on learning to how to get what I could from it. Ya know what? It turned out to be my favored ADV for almost a month with the eGrip assigned to 'super duty' for the strong urges and first vape in the morning. Funny how that turned around.

3. EHPro Squape RTA w/ e-Huge mod: Honestly, I never would have bought this. I won it in a MadVapes contest here in the forums. The Squape was my intro to building, love it! It quickly sent my ETs into retirement and yes I'm Squaping on my eGo batts at 2.2 ohms 3.3V as rediculous as I'm sure that sounds to some of you. The e-Huge mod? Ehh... I'm a lanyard kinda person vaping constantly all day long, no restriction (lucky me). e-Huge is just too much for a lanyard, think bloated 26650 Vamo. But it did come with an adapter to use it as a power supply for my WinTab so It does get used.

4 istick 20W: Ordered this just a day or so before winning the MadVapes prize. Needed something to read ohms and dry burn before I could use the eGrip RBAs. That's still mostly all it's used for.

So...I'm really content with where I'm at... I can't imagine that I'm the only one winning against the shineyitis.

Where you at? What keeps ya keepin on?

I give myself a monthly budget, and try to work that into a weekly budget as well. First thing's first I make sure I have enough juice/wire/cotton/batteries to last the month, then I allow myself to grab a mod/rda/tank as the shineyitis kicks in. My budget isn't much higher than what I was spending on cigarettes,($400 vs $350) so I really don't mind, especially since my friends love use my mods during "recreational time".

I've been disgustingly happy with the same stuff for over two years. Stepped up for an ego to a Spinner and use those when traveling. Got a ProVari for my one year and love that, so I've just given it a few family members. They work for me and I'm very happy with them. I know other people prefer different mods and that's great for them Whatever works.

Began with a carto tank but the carto quality sucked--3 duds out of 5 wasn't cutting it--and switched to Davides. Never had a problem with them, never looked back.

Bravo to those that love to experiment and are into the hobby aspect. Love hearing their experiences without having to spend the money. I do get tempted but it makes it easy not to buy if you don't have a lot of money.

I like to play with toys. And my current squeeze is vaping so I buy some toys.

What I actually use 90% of the time is a 17 dollar Kbox and a 10 dollar Orchid clone.

I have a Provari and a bunch of authentic hobbiest stuff but none of the workhorse units I use cost more then 50 tank/mod.

I think of PV's as appliances. I only have one toaster, mixer.....

I only move on after something is very displeasing ( Istick20), or malfunctions ( 2 VV3's).

I've sat here watching most people upgrade for 2.5yrs straight while using the same ego upgrade PT's and carto tanks. Both still work.

I went from a Joyetech 650mAh (with a 510 atty and blue foam or direct dripping) to a Joyetech Twist to a ProVari. After that, I collected a number of other mods, but they were acquired either as celebration gifts to myself for passing smoke-free milestones (I specifically chose devices I'd never tried, like squonkers and mechanicals) or because I thought they look cool. For 2.5 years a ProVari mini or P3 has been what I use everyday.

Since my favorite juice (for 3 years) is a tank cracker (I learned that after the deaths of Stardusts, Vivi Novas and other whatnots), while still using the 650, I moved up to carto tanks. I used IBtanks and Valley View tanks exclusively, as that's all that came in glass or polypro at the time I could afford and I didn't like metal tanks. I somehow learned about the ProTank when it was still in development and bugged Edward @ Sun-Vapers relentlessly for a release date. I needed glass! As a result, I received one of the first ones sold. Although it took some fiddling to get it to work properly, I happily used a ProTank 1 and carto tanks until January 2014. That's when I started building coils. I got a couple of Kayfuns, that oddly (compared to everyone else), I didn't care for very much. In about May 2014 I was looking to see if any other RTAs were on the market and stumbled upon the Rüzgar. It was love at first vape! It's an obscure tank hardly anyone likes but me, but we fit together perfectly! While I still sometimes use Reos, a Magma or a DriverV2/Sophia, a Rüzgar on a ProVari mini or P3 has been my primary set-up since June 2014.

    i haz a very happy!

I've spent hundreds on fancy regulated mods and various RBAs looking for the best flavor and satisfaction. For me the only "upgrades" worth the $$$ were when I transitioned to using RBA's and when I quit using egos and went to unregulated mods with interchangeable batteries. In the past three years those two "moves" saved enough to pay for most of the gear I've bought. Vaping can be very inexpensive without scrimping or sacrificing satisfaction. My fancy temp controlled high wattage mods sit in a drawer alongside most of the attys I've tried. Current favorites are an $11 Goblin RTA clone on an unregulated $45 Kato box mod clone powered by a $6 genuine Samsung 25R battery. Nothing else I've bought/tried provided anything better. I certainly don't regret buying/trying new gear, that's how I found what works best for me.

Started with a blu kit, moved to an ego c after two weeks, added a protank 2 mini about a month later, about 6 months later, I moved to a vw similar to ego c's in size and got an aspire bdc clearo, about another 6 months, I got my first rda, a nimbus clone, a few months later, I added a 4nine and haven't touched my egos since Jan.... Since then, I've bought a smaller rda, a Cthulhu, waiting on the Cthulhu v2 to ship also, and sort of retired my 4nine with a Wotofo Phantom....

I tend to buy a piece of gear every few months, liquid is about 90ml every other month....

I started with a Premium cigalike, then V2, another cigalike. On to Ego batteries topped with Vivi Nova's. Moved on to mods, Lava Tube, SVD, etc, etc. Then Provari. First mod I got that was well built and trouble free. But found it still wasn't for me. Then, Reo! All I have used ever since! Trouble is, I can't stop buying them. I now have five aluminum's and three woods...with the fourth woodvil in the mail :w00t:

I'm working really hard on telling myself, ENOUGH ALREADY! It is great finding what makes you happy, but I don't believe there's ever an end. It's fun though :D

I am back where I was a year and a bit ago. After a lot of purchases of the newest and gr8est, for the last couple months I went back to my Provari 2 and a Kayfun lite V2 at 1.2 ohms. Plan on quit buying and staying where I am now. Got enough stuff to likely get through a few years without buying nothing but perhaps a few flavorings for juice. CHEERS!

I've mostly avoided shinyitis over the last 42 months. Switched from smoking with a eGo-C kit. Made a few upgrades in the next 10 months that cost me around $600. A couple of mech mods and an AGA-T basically took me through the next 11 months with a few RDAs thrown in for fun and variety. Reo Grand with a couple of bottom fed attys the next 12 months. In the last 9 months I've bought 3 regulated mods 2 of which are TC, a couple of new drippers and 3 tanks from the classies. Yes there have been more purchases than what I've mentioned, the little things add up, but nothing significant and the cost was way less than smoking would have been.

It's been a blast and I'm still alive. Works for me :)

I went 11 months without buying a single thing. My wife needed a few things so I tacked some new toys on to her order and...well, it's a disorder. I can't help it. I've ordered a couple of hundreds of dollars worth of new tanks and stuff. But I'm good now. I really am. Help me, please.
