Benefits of Joining Non Resistance whires and Resistance NR-R-NR

NR-R-NR is the best thing for everything. I've got the Ithaka and built the little simple welder. And loved it so much then started using NR-R-NR method for everything. No more "Hot Legs" in any of my Genesis Atties. Specially when I'm using Flat Kanthal Ribbon. The non resistant leads are so much easier to trap under the screw and you don't care about the Leigh of it, plus non resistant wire makes much better contact with your post. You know what your resistance is going to be before you wrap your coil - how cool is that? All 100% of your Heating element is in full contact with your wick - 100% Efficiency. Here are some examples that I built using NR-R-NR Flat Ribbon and I love it.

That's really cool, I almost went that route and got a sophia but I didn't want to fall down another rabbit hole, it looks as good as I thought it would be. Sweet!

agree , flat ribbon is great for genesis style!

also using for now this Caravela , 0.5x0.1 and 4 wraps ~1.2 Ohm
