Yeah depending on if a "cig look-alike" is absolutely necessary an eGo or an eGo clone (I really dig my E-Power and knowing I can replace any part of it for less than 10 bucks if something goes wrong) with any nice carto (Boge LR or dual coil) is an awesome combination and pretty wallet-friendly.

If cig look-alikes are necessary I'm blown away by my Volt sometimes, especially with juices that already have a lot of kick to them. That little thing can really vape. And priced well.

For slim it has to be KR808D-1

for standard aka 78mm batteries

Vapor4life and original manufacturer KR808D-1 - 280mah, mostly sealed end of manuals w/ larger button, long cutoff on manual

Smokeless Image Volt (and Halocigs G6, Bloogplanet Maxxfusion but I don't know if they have manuals) - claim 320mah, totally sealed threaded end on manuals w/ tiny button, very short cutoff of 5 seconds but you seems to be able to drag again right away?

----

For non-slim, any 3.7v device (KR808D-1 is a real 3.7v device, Ego is not, the new Rivas are closer).

"Best" is a hard word.

Best what? Best Hit? Best Value? Best looking? Best Size? Best for Me or Best for You?

If you are looking for a Starter Kit that has a good Ballance of features and Price, I would suggest a "eGo/Riva" type kit with Filler type Cartomizers.

Since the "eGo/Riva" batteries are threaded with a 510 thread, there are many different options you can use them with. Because your taste and e-Cig skill level might change. An atomizer can give a Very good hit.

Dormouse, is there a 510 threaded manual mini with decent mAh and cartos in a kit? Was looking at V4L and the kits are expensive imo and I don't think they're 510 threaded. Have a friend insisting on a cigarette-looking setup to start. I'm fairly certain they won't use it long and will upgrade to Ego/Kgo or Riva in a week or so. Where do we go to get a reasonable kit with prefilled cartos?

Here's what I was looking at. Seemed pricey and I don't think the cartos will fit a 510. Vapor4Life- Electronic Cigarette: Vapor King Ultimate XL Starter Kit

I got my nephew a 510 kit that came with a PCC for $34.99 at ivape. He was selling them cheap because the factory misspelled 'smoke' on the pcc which you can't even notice. I looked the other day and I think the price might have gone up to $44.99.

Weird how all these mini's are more expensive than the Ego. Plus you have to get the extras, like the extra batteries and the pcc, etc. They end up costing a fortune.

Someone in the Suppliers secion had a 510 pretty cheap but it had a cut-off on the manual battery.
