A friend gave me a few of the 801 LR from AltSmokes. They're SLB and so far, are terrific (only on day 11 on this first one).

Other than that, the low bridge 302 from Joye, Boge and Bauway are great. If I couldn't get those, I'd go back to the RN4072 (also low bridge) but they seem to be harder to find these days.

Melly, how long are your LR from EastMall lasting? Any idea what factory makes them?

No, I don't know about the factory but they are selling at the best price and according to others here on this forum in some other posts about LR attys they seem to last longer than other LRs. My first lasted about 7 weeks and I'm still using the second one, it has been two weeks so far. I use carts, that may be why I am getting pretty good use out of them but those that drip probably can't get them to last as long.

Hi Mel... thanks for the info. No markings on the bottom of the attys?

Well, guess I'll have to get some. The one I posted about died yesterday! Dammit. Loved that atty. I'm breaking in #2 today.

I'm like you. I use carts with them (and drip on the atty with each refill). I wonder if the dripping was the problem but don't understand why it would be since they like to be wet. If I don't drip on them, they get a harsh burned flavor quick. Yeah... guess I'll be visiting David. Any Codes or specials there (other than only $3)?

Joye 302 is my choice. I've always loved 801's, but at 6v they seem to at least partially die fairly quickly. I got three 302's based on reviews a month or two ago, and two of them I haven't even gotten through the primer properly yet because the first one still working like a champ.

If I could find a LR 302 with the same reliability...I'd be golden.
