Here's my 2 cents. I have a 401 that I like for flavored vaping. Throat hits ok, small carts for refills, small for carrying or feeling like real cig. This was my 1st and lead me to quitting analogs so I have no complaints on it and still use them.
510.. good hits and Vapor, easier cart mods, refilling easier, 1st manual battery model (big plus), cheap with plenty of parts access, short battery life but quick recharge. My everyday go everywhere Vapor.
Blu..cute, nice case, great hits and vapor on 1st start of new cart, all drops off quickly and leads to frustration.
Other than that I have no more (wife banished me from buying)
Good luck...it let me quit analogs (2 pack/day for 32 yrs)

I like m401's better than 510's, but my response would have also been boxless 510 from cignot..... until I read a recent thread about the Q510. Can't beat a $10 disposable 510 that may last for over 50 changes. I'm sure liquid shopping may be the deciding factor on how much you save over time (not sure if the Q is refillable or needs new carts, how much the carts cost ect), but the initial $10 is not a risky investment by any means. This is addressing the title "bargain vape" with the chance that you may not like vapor. If you feel as prematurely committed as I did, then a better investment is probably a big battery mod, maybe something small to start like a VP1 or Spade with a 10440 battery, or maybe a Janty Ego/Tornado. Skip the fiddling with inferior batteries from the start, lots of us can say we wasted a lot of money that way, initially. Not to mention the performance is much better from a larger battery, you get over the 'looks like a cigarette' thing once you get sick of inconsistency and fiddling around.

MFS has great sampler packs on juice. You get 6 20ml bottles, you pick flavors and strengths for $50. He has pretty fast shipping and great tasting liquid. I buy most of my flavored liquid and all of my unflavored liquid from him. He makes a killer cappuccino!

I second this. A great way to try different flavors, which you definitely will want to do.

Welcome to ECF mbsyl! I second Cignot if you are looking to purchase a 510 but I noticed that they are currently out of stock and looking to receive more on Thursday I believe. I would also recommend purchasing from Joye 510 | ecigExpress . They seem to have alot of 510 kits and accessories in stock. If you do decide on the 510, I would certainly get the mega batts and ecigExpress has the PCC for the mega batterys. The regular PCC for the 510 cannot accomodate the mega batts. I started out with the 510 but even though I really do like the 510, if I knew what I know now, I would have started off with the Tornado from Totally Wicked. One battery will last me almost an entire day and IMO the juices seem to taste better. And as far as juice goes, I would certainly recommend Tasty Vapor, MyFreedomSmokes and DIYFlavorShack. FlavorShack is closed temporarily due to the owner's health issues but once they re-open, you should give them a try. Wish you the best of luck!

When you say cheap, do you want something cheap to try, which will end up being expensive in the long run because you'l need to replace batteries and atomizers frequently. Or cheap long term running costs means buying a big battery device. For example my batts cost $5 for 4 and they will last at least 3 months usually a lot longer. ;)
I think spending a bit more to start with and having cheap running costs is better than a cheap kit that needs replacing every few weeks. My SD cost a lot at the time but now they are a lot cheaper, especially with bogof on the bodies atm. Im stocked on batteries so just buy multipack atties and juice when needed.
The 5volt passthroughs are a good buy for using at home, look for one with a nice thick cable.
If you want to try different atomizers there are lots of adapters around, eg 901-510 etc so its easy to find which you like without buying a whole kit.
Juice you can find anywhere at low prices, even less if you buy high nic and cut it yourself with PG/VG and flavourings. My fav are the DV concentrates from Totally Wicked. Amazing flavs.
So basically what looks cheap now really isn't looking so cheap in a months time when your batts have failed.
Good luck
