Hi vape fam, I'm about to order a couple more batteries for my mech mod. I currently use Sony vtc4s and was thinking of getting some 40 amp batteries like imren. I've gone to many vape shops and they all have told me that the best are either imren or other 40 amp batteries. Was wondering what you guys think I should get. Thanks.

Nobody currently makes an 18650 vaping-type battery that is rated at 40 amp continuous discharge. There are several in the 20 to 25 amp range, and your VTC4's are around 30 amp. Excellent batteries.
Go to some websites of reputable suppliers: Orbtronics, Illumination supply, RTDVapes, and a few others and read the specs. If there was a legitimate 40 amp battery out there for vaping purposes those suppliers would be all over it.

Always remember to be able to make superior batteries, one must actually make batteries first.
None of these vaping brands/ batteries have thier own factories.
On a side note ******there are some articles i posted under batteries in one they talk about the average cost to start a battery plant is roughly 100 million. In that respect it is hard to imagine all these no name companies could pony up the cash THEN out engineer companies who have been doing this for 30+ years. And pull it all off in just a couple months.

running any battery over 25-30 amp actually damages the cell inside, and testing proves it, when tested no cell has been able to perform at high amperage without massive voltage drop making their worth as a high amp cell pretty pointless anyways.
These companies are all about the money. Notice the prices compared to "non vaping" brand batteries.
